Extremely high quality with no<br>issues. 2.25" x 3/8" x 8.9 grams.<br><br>Theodor Fahrner (4 August 1859 – 22 July 1919) was a trained steel engraver and<br>jewelry designer from Pforzheim, Germany. He was known for his Art Nouveau and<br>Jugendstil pieces, produced at affordable prices. After his death, his firm<br>became one of the best known Art Deco designers.<br><br>Biography<br>Theodor Fahrner was born to Theodor Fahrner, Sr., and Pauline Fahrner (née<br>Schweikert). He had six sisters: Emma, Julie, Lina, Paulina Emilie, Luise Emilie<br>and Bertha. Little is known about his school days; he learned to be a steel<br>engraver and received his artistic training at the Pforzheim Kunstgewerbeschule.<br><br>Theodor Fahrner, Sr., owned a ring factory, and on his death in 1883, the<br>younger Theodor Fahrner took the reins. By 1895, he was the sole proprietor. In<br>the time of the upheaval before the turn of the century, Fahrner registered<br>numerous patents and utility models. No cracks, chips, restorations, or crazing, light wear to peach lustre on rim of pitcher and slight wear to hand painted polychrome decoration inside bowl from pitcher resting inside. bowl 14.25"dia., pitcher 13" Charles James Mason registered his Patent Ironstone China trademark in 1813. Mr. Mason was an astute entrepreneur who had already been involved in the early 18th century porcelain import trade from China by the East India Company. c1890 Huge Cranberry Optic Brass based Table Oil Lamp. This lamp is beyond incredible, the base was fully restored at one point, it works, holds oil, the knobs for the burner/wick work, The oil cap says Juno Safety lamp made in Germany. This unusual lamp was likely made for and used aboard a ship or Train, or maybe the banquet of a hotel. But I think with the ultra wide base it really has a transportation feel to it. Guaranteed well over 100 years old base and shade and most likely original to each other as they are an uncommon size. This globe is huge measuring 11.5" tall x 9.5" wide with a 6" fitter base at the bottom of the globe. It is near mint with one tiny flake where it fits on the lamp base shown in the last pic, no other chips, no cracks, no scratches. The brass base measures 11 3/8" wide x 8" tall. Total height about 18.5" This is a big fat lamp. A few small dents in the brass shouldn't be a distraction as it's totally wonderful and will light up every room even if not in use. Today with portable led's it would be so easy to light this up without actually doing the oil thing in a modern home. Obviously they will be packed to death, the shade in it's own box with tons of cushion, I ship things like this globally daily, thanks for your consideration.

He was a Rosenthal employee from<br>1919 to 1960, and from 1946 onwards the head of the art department in Selb. He<br>always tried to find contemporary ways of expressing his sense of forms. The<br>most famous of his works is vase called ‘Pregnant Luise’ (‘Orchideenvase’). All<br>Rosenthal famous Op-Art was started after he introduced this vase. c1890 Amber Apothecary Bottle Set some Labels Under Glass ground stoppers. Selling all the bottles shown all from one estate, I was told their family owned a drugstore in the late 19th-early 20th century south of Austin but unfortunately didn't get more details. These bottles are really clean all late 19th to early 20th century. No chips, cracks, not all scratched up, no dinged up or stained. The large bottles have labels under glass 9.75" tall marked W.T. Co USA. Mid sized are high quality art glass with ground pontils indicating they were hand blown by a top factory 7" tall and the labels appear to be enameled glass, these are the highest quality pharmaceutical bottles I've ever seen. The smallest ones are 6 1/8" tall and have paper labels, the bases are embosses 200 x 2, and the 2's look a little Frenchy. Japanese Bizen Pottery Fukurokuju Statue. Very well done piece 6.5" tall x 4.5" wide, small chip on beard shown in first pic, no other cracks, chips, or restorations.FUKUROKUJU originates from an old Chinese tale about a mythical Chinese hermit (Sung Period) who was famous because he performed miracles and was said to embody the celestial powers of the south polar star. Fuku means happiness, Roku means riches and Ju means longevity. He is the Chinese God of wisdom, happiness, wealth and long life; Fukurokuju is 3 feet tall, has a big head half his height, large eyes and a snowy, long white beard. He wears garments like those worn by ancient Chinese scholars and likes to play chess. He sometimes also has cranes and/or a tortoise near him. 3 Vintage Uncas Sterling Rings. Selling the three rings shown, probably the best is the size 7.5 intaglio marcasite ring it has a little wear but I think it's 80-100 years old, the sz6.5 marcasite and black stone that may or may not be onyx has a bend in the bottom part of ring and some scratches on the stone, the sz 7 band is more modern than the other two and in very good condition. Selling all three. The Uncas Mfg. Co. began operations in Providence, Rhode Island in 1911. By the 1950s, Uncas had become the largest manufacturer of costume jewelry rings in the United States. 1890's Pink to cranberry Cased Glass Peg student lamps Pair. It's really rare to<br>find a pair of these, especially with the shades. The whole lamps top, bottom,<br>burners, hardware, etc are from the 1890-1910. I obviously have no way of<br>knowing if these shades were on them 125 years ago or not, they were on them<br>when I got them and they look fantastic on them. As you can see some of the<br>hardware on the burners doesn't match completely, but they are functional, bases<br>and most of the hardware was polished and lacquered at one point in the last<br>half of the 20th century. Art Deco Tiffany Exposition Sterling Tomato pattern pie server 12.25" long x 2 3/8" at widest point x 165.8 grams with no issues. tw125Charles Tiffany was born February 15, 1812 in Killingly, Connecticut. About 25 years later, in 1837, Charles Tiffany and John Young, and later in 1841, they added J.L.. Ellis as a partner, began Tiffany, Young and Ellis in Lower Manhattan. That company at the time was founded at first to sell fancy goods and stationery. Tiffany bought his parents shares of the company in 1853 and changed the focus of the company to sell upscale jewelry and merchandise. Once Tiffany bought his parent’s shares, the company was renamed to Tiffany & Co. In 1867, Tiffany & Co. was the first United States based company to win an award for excellence in silverware at the Exposition Universelle in Paris. In 1868, the company became incorporated, had four stores and was on the right path to continue to grow to the company that it is today.A Humble Start When Young and Tiffany began their business, they originally started off with offering items such as stationery and merchandise before moving on to offering jewelry and silverware. The business continued to grow and manufacture jewelry, and later opened a location in Paris. His stores adopted the standards of European jewelry and therefore, sterling became established in the United States and the American jewelry market.Tiffany was determined to obtain one-of-a-kind jewelry. It was that desire which helped fuel how much his products were sought out, specifically among the upper classes of New York. The jewelry created by the company became partially well known because of the wealthy people who desired its products. At the start, there were several silversmiths who supplied silver flatware and holloware to Tiffany’s. Each of those silversmiths marked the pieces with their own marks in addition to marking them with Tiffany’s marks. Some of the makes of Tiffany’s sterling silver include William Gale, Gale & Hughes, Wood & Hughes, John Polhemus, Henry Hebbard, William Bogert, Grosjean & Woodward, Moore & Hebbard and John C. Brooch 1 5/8" wide, earrings .75" wide, 24.5 grams total weight.MAT-MATILDE POULAT & RICARDO SALAS JEWELRY Matl is the mark that appears on some of the most beautiful and unique jewelry in Mexico. Matilde Eugenia Poulat introduced MATL in 1934 and, since her death in 1960, her designs and techniques have been carried on by her nephew, Ricardo Salas. For sr. Salas, who can recite poetry in the language of the Aztecs, the mark matl, has greater meaning in its reference to the Nahuatl or Aztec word for water, atl.As a young woman, Matilde Poulat studied painting at the prestigious San Carlos academy of fine arts in Mexico city, she went on to teach painting classes at an art school until her interest turned exclusively to silver. Matilde Poulat´s designs for jewelry and figures were part of the new cultural vision among Mexico’s intellectuals after the revolution in 1920s, artists were searching for Mexican aesthetic, rejection European subjects in favor of the art of the pre-conquest Indians and of the Mexican pueblos. Sra. Poulat found inspiration in the mextec gold jewelry discovered in 1932 at Monte Alban. Her choice of motifs the dove, flowers, and tiny bells are reminiscent of the whimsical subjects of contemporary Mexican folk art.Matilde Poulat received international recognition for her jewelry when she was asked in 1941 to participate in an exhibit of Latin American silver at the pan American union in Washington, D.C. as a result of increasing demand for matl silver during world war ii , the number of silversmiths in the taller increased to thirty-three. In 1950, Srta. Poulat and her nephew opened a showroom on the first floor of her home, where she also had the workshop. Ricardo Salas recalls that they made three thousand types of silver jewelry and one hundred different pieces.Ricardo Salas worked closely with his aunt from the time he was eleven years of age. He says she recognized his artistic talent when she saw him do a play with puppets he had made himself. Sr. Salas was sent to the San Carlos academy, where he received the premio Diego Rivera. As a youth, he learned the techniques of the silversmith and perfected the carving of "Off White", coral, turquoise, and other stones used in the jewelry and figurines. From sr. Salas perspective, he and his aunt collaborated so closely as designers, that there really cannot be a comparison of their work.In 1955, William Spratling wrote of Matilde Poulat: “she has continued to produce some of the most charming native jewelry in Mexico, intensely her own. Her jewelry has the same charm and delightful surface and colorful quality of the old lacquer work of Uruapan. Spratling`s admiration for matl silver reflects his recognition of their shared appreciation for Mexican native art. This mutual inspiration led each of the two artists in different directions within the same medium. The exuberance of matl silver resembles the interiors of the churches in Puebla, like the chapel of Santa Maria Tonantzintla, where Indians covered the interior of the dome with polychromed and gilded angels. In matl silver, the introduction of color is accomplished with bits of coral, turquoise, and amethyst quartz. The surfaces are decorated with applied wire and elaborated with embossing and repousse of astounding complexity (pl.XXIII-1, XXIII-10). Matilde Poulat and Ricardo Salas have been successful in incorporating the artistic language of the Mixtecs into jewelry and silver figures with imagination, drama, and with a style that is completely personal.

There are few gemstones that display the 'play-of-color' phenomenon better than Labradorite, reds, blues, purples, yellows and more dance before your eyes as it turns in your hand but there is much more to discover about this rare beauty. The Schiller effect, labradorescence, light interference, lattice distortions are some of the scientific explanations for flashes of color in Labradorite gemstones which we can go into later but perhaps the Inuit people of Labrador in Canada explain it best by saying that the Northern Lights or Aurora Borealis were trapped within Labradorite rocks. All hand painted The term "Dresden porcelain" refers more to an artistic movement than a particular line of figurines or dinnerware. Several decorating studios emerged in this Saxony capital in response to the rise of "Romanticism" during the 19th century. Dresden was an important center of this artistic, cultural and intellectual movement, which attracted painters, sculptors, poets, philosophers and porcelain decorators alike.
