Press photo shown is just
a copy of something someone else sold previously therefore not included.

A bronze flame is the symbol of the JC Penney Golden Rule Award, presented in
recognition of outstanding volunteer service to the community. The Award,
accompanied by a $1,000 grant to support the volunteer's work, is given to an
individual or organization selected by a distinguished panel of civic leaders in
a community-wide competition. The Award reflects a tradition of community
service at JC Penney that has persisted since James Cash Penney in 1902 opened
his first store, called "The Golden Rule." Sculptor Greg Wyatt represents his
bronze flame-of-freedom as the spirit of the volunteer's free choice to help a
neighbor.

Greg Wyatt is an American representational sculptor who works primarily in cast
bronze,[1] and is the sculptor-in-residence at the Cathedral Church of St. John
the Divine in New York City.

Wyatt was born in Nyack, New York and raised in Grand View-on-Hudson, New York.
His father was William Stanley Wyatt, a painter and professor of fine arts at
Columbia University, Rockland Community College and the City College of New
York.[1] Greg Wyatt graduated from Columbia College of Columbia University in
1971 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Art History.[1] He also attended the
National Academy of Design for three years, where he studied figurative
sculpture, and received his certificate in sculpture, and earned a master's
degree in Ceramic Arts from Columbia Teachers College in 1974. Wyatt has taught
at New York University and at Jersey City State College.[3][4] He is currently a
member of the Board of Directors at The American College of the Mediterranean in
Aix-en-Provence, France. He is also a member of the Board at Brookgreen Gardens.

Wyatt bases his work on the philosophy of "spiritual realism," merging realistic
images and abstract masses of form, space and energy.
Professor Sir Stanley Wells, a renowned Shakespearian scholar and emeritus
chairman of the Shakespeare Birthplace Trust, says, "I compare Wyatt to Rodin.
He's that good."[6] "Wyatt emulates the sculpture of the western world with
contemporary vision."[3] His works have been exhibited at the Metropolitan
Museum of Art, Harvard University, and Vanderbilt Mansion National Historic
Site, among other institutions and collections,[5] and can be seen in more than
20 public spaces in cities from New York to Beijing.

Wyatt has made many corporate commissions, including a bronze statue of J.C.
Penney founder James Penney which weighs 3 tons and cost $250,000

Heart is approx .75" without jump ring both ways. Mr. Avery believed that meaning is what makes life more beautiful and this concept continues to drive how we design jewelry to this day. In 2007, 53 years after he first founded the company, James Avery officially stepped down as CEO and passed the reins on to his sons, Chris and Paul. Mr. Avery’s mission was simple: to create jewelry with meaning—both for himself and others. With a focus on creating straightforward designs and a core belief of integrity in all things, his jewelry became more than precious metals and gemstones. Guests came to him with their stories—their special moments—so he could craft them into pieces they would wear with pride for a lifetime. From writing letters to greeting Customers, Mr. Avery prioritized developing lasting relationships with each person who connected with his designs.

1984 David Lotton Magnum coral paperweight
1984 David Lotton Magnum coral paperweight. Ni chips, cracks, dings, scratches, or other issues. 3.75" wide x 3" tall. DAVID LOTTON David Lotton is a second generation American glassblower. He is the oldest son of Charles Lotton and was introduced to the world of glassblowing at a very young age. In 1970, Charles started building a furnace and began blowing pieces of glass from melted down pop bottles in a shed behind their house. David was there in this infancy and he was Charles first assistant at the age of ten. David has vivid memories of his childhood working in the shop with his father. When most children were playing childhood games he was spending time after school and on the weekends helping him at the bench. By the age of 14 he started learning how to do finishing work, polishing the bottom of the glass flat. David eventually followed in his fathers' footsteps and by the age of 15 began making paperweights. That ignited a passion to begin glass blowing. David has been creating his one of a kind vessels since 1978. His unique handcrafted works are designed with precise attention to detail. Developing his own glass formulas, David has created a complex palette of colors, giving him the ability to create his multi-layering and sculpting style. Each year David continues to study and refine the techniques he uses in creating his art. David's Clematis Reflection Series, Hollyhock Paperweight Series and Mixed Bouquets Series all reflect his floral patterns which capture his love for detail. He combines color and layering to create depth and beauty. His Organic Sculptures reflect movement and rich hues of a summer sunset. David is inspired by all nature. He has a successful ranch in the hills of Kentucky where he is inspired to evolve, change, and grow continually. He commutes back and forth to fulfill both loves. pwdrawer

1987 Chris Hammack Original Wood Carving "Worlds Greatest Lobbyist" Fort Worth T
1987 Chris Hammack Original Wood Carving "Worlds Greatest Lobbyist" Fort Worth
Texas. 10.5" tall x 4 3/8" wide at base. Extremely rare find by a noted artist
that started the same year this was created reproducing his sculptures in resin
which have sold all over the world. This is one piece of solid carved wood other
than the round base. The carving is incredible and it's obvious why he's been so
successful. This was under a glass dome all it's life and is in mint condition.
It will be extremely well packed to get there in the same condition. I won't be
including the dome as it would complicate shipping. Below is a bio from his
website.

After all these years, one thing remains,

Chris Hammack loves to whittle and make people laugh.

Chris’s carving career began over 36 years ago after a thirty foot fall landed
him in the hospital. During a five month convalescence he picked up a piece of
firewood and a pocket knife and began carving caricatures, of which he had
sketched as a young boy growing up in Texas.

Within a couple of years, Chris was competing in carving competitions and
bringing home some blue ribbons.

The years following would begin to bring national acclaim to his work as a
woodcarver. In 1987, Hammack started a very successful wholesale business
reproducing his original carvings in resin. This company, Spit N’ Whittle, led
to his work selling around the globe. During these years he also designed
several successful gift lines for other major gift companies in the US.

Hammack has shared his carving talent through teaching numerous live seminars
nationwide, and now also teaches classes one on one over the internet.

Chris happily says,

“For me, woodcarving has never lost its magic. Give me a good piece of basswood
and a sharp knife and I’m content”

Today, Chris lives on a small island in Mexico where he still creates his
original works of art, and teaches.
tw162
