Other than that no issues, surely a 1k+ piece by a listed artist with<br>weird/messy handwriting. Me spending an hour trying to figure out who that is<br>won't make this any nicer than it is. Became Wendell Mfg Co in 1885. In late 1890s acquired some flatware patterns and dies of Mauser Mfg Co. Active in New York with retail or wholesale outlet under the name Wendell & Co. This company closed right around 1900.Selling the set shown in this amazing silk lined Velvet covered box. The spoons are 4" long with 3/4" wide bowls and weight 7-8 grams each. Box is 12 3/8" wide. Spoons and box are immaculate. Selling the 12 spoons in the box, as good as it gets. It even has a spring lid that automatically pops up when the functional catch is disengaged. There appears to be a restorations to the foot-rim which has<br>shrunk/ degraded. Strong stable piece that displays very well, some white wall<br>paint on front and reverse side from when it wasn't taken down while painting<br>interior wall. So the place to the left of the second pic is slight loss, the<br>place to the right is white interior wall paint.

Known for their famous and inexpensive hand painted lithographs by well-known artists, their prints became extremely popular. Currier and Ives lithographs were especially popular amongst the Victorians and their new found love of nature. Animals, and especially cats, became subjects of their prints and decorated many American homes. After the deaths of both Currier and Ives, their grandsons continued the business until 1907 when the firm closed due to the public’s lack of interest in lithographs due to improvements in photoengraving and offset printing.

The tremendous price and the phrase Peach Bloom were widely publicized. Within months, American glass companies developed new formulas to capitalize on the Peach Bloom name. This glassware is now collectively referred to as "Peachblow".One type of Peachblow, shading from yellow at the bottom to deep red at the top, was made by the Hobbs, Brockunier and Company of Wheeling, West Virginia. It is now called Wheeling Peachblow after the town where it was made. Wheeling Peachblow is a two-layered glass or cased glass.
