At a young age Kyle along with his brothers Trent
and Wyatt began working on jewelry with their father Allison (Snowhawk) Lee, a
talented well-known silversmith.

On Kyle’s mothers side, his great grandfather and great grandmother worked on
jewelry, passing along techniques through the generations – making him and his
brothers 4th generation silversmiths. Kyle has become skilled at making Navajo
pearls and fluted design beadwork from single strand necklaces to traditional
squash blossoms. He has been perfecting other types of jewelry like pendants,
earrings, and bolo ties. Kyle likes to use natural turquoise like Number Eight,
Morenci, Egyptian, Blue Gem, Kingman, and Carico Lake in his work.

Kyle’s inspirations come from his role models that include: Charles Loloma,
Raymond & Lee Yazzie, Vernon Haskie, Ira & Gary Custer, Aaron Anderson, Jennifer
Curtis, Ray Tracey, Herbert Taylor, Kenneth Johnson and Cody Sanderson. Kyle’s
hobbies include skateboarding, hiking, fishing, and playing the piano.

The Carico Lake Turquoise is located South of Battle Mountain in Lander County,
Nevada USA. This Turquoise Mine produces Turquoise in multiple shades of blues
to beautiful greens. Carico Lake Turquoise has become very popular and highly
collectible in recent years for its beautiful shades of a spring colored lime
green running through a sea of light sky blue with golden brown spiderweb
matrix.

The Carico Lake Turquoise Mine produces beautiful blue Turquoise but is most
known for its spectacular shades of lime green colored gemstones. This fabulous
lime green coloration is actually caused by a close relative of Turquoise
mineral called faustite, the combination of faustite and zinc associated with
the Turquoise creates one of the most beautiful coloration effects in American
Turquoise that has ever occurred in nature. The Carico Lake Turquoise Mine also
produces very rare psuedomorph clams that have been fossilized with Turquoise -
this Turquoise is very rare and very expensive.

The Carico Lake Turquoise Mine got its name from its unique location, in ancient
years there was a lake that has since dried, hence "Carico Lake." Mining is very
limited these days which makes the supply of this material limited. Due to the
great demand for Carico Lake Turquoise, it has become one of the most valuable
types of American Turquoise and the investment value of this Turquoise is great.

All precious metals are tested and guaranteed, any Native American jewelry
referred to as Silver or Sterling is guaranteed to be a minimum of 90% (coin)
silver and possibly higher content. He loves working with
turquoise and says that the stone make him more creative and skillful at the
bench. Michael makes most of the decorative stamps he uses to make his jewelry
by hand from the tempered steel of old car engines. Using old parts from piston
rods to valve stems, he carefully cuts designs into the steel using tiny files
and other tools to produce his personal stamps. Brought up on the reservation in
the village of Pruitt, New Mexico and born to the Meadow People Clan, Michael is
also part Apache. Raised primarily by his Grandparents, Michael draws
inspiration from the same remote and wild places his Grandmother, a
well-respected natural healer, took him to when he was young.
