Bobby Johnson is from Church Rock, New Mexico in the heart of the Navajo reservation.. He was born in the summer of 1952 and is native Navajo. He began to silversmith in the early 70s, learning from his family. Bobby is looked up to by his brothers and sisters, who are all expert silversmiths themselves.Coming up in this time when quality natural turquoise was more available,it‘s hard for people like Bobby who came out of that era,to use anything less than the best turquoise there is in today‘s market. His love for silver and turquoise led him to choose this as his life time path and can proudly say he is a proud silversmith!
