c1890 Hand painted Franz Xaver Thallmaier, Munich Germany for C.M. Hutschenreuther, Bavaria (1857-1899) cabinet plate 9.5" wide, selling the plate
shown with no cracks, chips, or restorations, no significant wear. 100% hand
painted, buying the exact plate shown with other important ladies offered
separately. Thallmaier produced hand painted porcelain plaques and plates, there
was a series of these plates and I have 5 available all different, I've seen
these sell for as much as $1500 each. Any white spots in the pics are
reflections.

Franz Xaver Thallmaier established in Munich in 1890 one of the most prominent
and successful porcelain painting studios in Germany. He employed a number of
talented porcelain painters specialising in portraits and genre scenes after
artists such as Joseph Stieler, Wilhelm Kray, Defregger and Thumann.
