1920's French Schneider Art Glass compote with metal stand glass balls. Rare and<br>impressive piece with no damage 7 5/8" tall x 7" wide with no damage. Stem and<br>balls are glass and of course bowl is glass, mounted into a cast iron holder.<br>I've seen a little bigger version of this bring over 3k. The balls on the base<br>really set this piece off. Signed Schneider France near the stem at the bottom<br>of the bowl. Tw209<br><br>Schneider Glass was a French glass firm founded by brothers Ernest and Charles<br>Schneider. The business made decorative glass from 1917, the year it was<br>founded, until 1932 when it went bankrupt. After World War II, Schneider<br>descendants of the original founders made clear crystal under the Schneider name<br>until 1981.<br><br>Schneider chemists and designers introduced many original Art Deco inspired<br>glass textures, colors and shapes. The company made a wide variety of art glass<br>including cameo, internally decorated, and wheel cut.
