Fukagawa Marine Corps Air Station vs Toyo Kogyo (Mazda) Golf Trophy Plate 1966<br>From Brigadier Generals estate. Plate is 10", frame is 14", no damage, minor<br>wear to frame., easily removed from frame. Possibly the only one of these in<br>existence. Equally interesting because the company that made it, the estate it<br>came from, and the nature of such a Tournament.<br><br>R.W. (Bob) Taylor, B/Gen USMC (Ret)<br><br>June 18, 1924 – July 21, 2021<br><br>A native of Quanah, Texas, Bob spent 33 years in the Marine Corps. He served in<br>World War II, Korea (1950-1951), and in Vietnam. His commands include CO Marine<br>Rifle Company, Marine Jet Fighter Squadron, Marine Air Group, Marine Air Wing,<br>and Marine Air bases Western Area. Other assignments include duty with the<br>Marine Air Reserves, Head of the Leadership curriculum at the U.S. Naval<br>Academy, Joint Chiefs of Staff (Pentagon), and Director of Marine Amphibious<br>Warfare School. His awards include The Silver Star, Legion of Merit, two<br>Meritorious Service medals, two Distinguished Flying Crosses, and thirteen air<br>medals.
