Phyllis Susan Coonsis Zuni multi-stone/shell sterling pendant/beaded necklace 18" necklace, 1 5/8" wide pendant, 9mm beads.

Phyllis Susan Coonsis is a member of the Sun-Grain Clan at Zuni Pueblo. She was born in 1960, and began making jewelry at the young age of 17. She is the granddaughter of Myra Qualo; and the daughter of Juan Coonsis & Lorraine Nastacio. She has exhibited at Santa Fe Indian Market and other venues, and is represented in many personal collections. She started silversmithing in 1970 learning from her grandmother Myra Qualo. Her cluster work is so different from other artists. She uses various natural materials making the combination feminine and beautiful.
