Harold Lovato (1954-1997; Kewa). Active 1970s-1997: A highly-regarded, award-winning artist, he began creating jewelry in the 1970s and won top awards at Indian Market in Santa Fe. His work was featured in publications like SWAIA quarterly and Indian Artist, and he learned silver casting from his father-in-law, Leo Coriz. Harold‘s father, Sedelio Lovato, was also an important figure in the history of Kewa tufa cast jewelry. He passed away in 1997.
