Herbert was born in Crownpoint, New Mexico and grew up in near by Prewitt. he studied art and business at Fort Lewis college in Durango, Colorado. Although hes only in his early thirties he has already worked for over ten years in sterling silver and 14k gold. His brother, Albert, who works with traditional designs was a major influence in his artistic development. Herbert overlays his silver with 14k gold creating stunning bracelets, rings, cuff links, link bracelets, necklaces, and ranger sets. The simplicity and style of his designs attract the most sophisticated connoisseur. You can see Herberts work displayed at a number of museums throughout the Southwest.
