c1880 Robbins Clark & Biddle 14k gold retractable pendant physician's pencil,
just over 3.5" closed with jump ring, 4 7/8" fully extended with jump ring.
Fully functional with no issues. Unmarked but acid tested by me in multiple
places by me to be 14k gold with no signs or evidence of it being plated.
Retailer's Name on one side and engraved Doctor's name on the other. 18.6 grams.
Without damaging this I cannot be 100% sure that it is not gold filled but as I
stated there is no evidence that it's plated, no wear, and it tests strong for
14k in multiple places but fades at 18k, typically gold filled items were more
often 12k so wouldn't test at 14k so I believe it's solid gold. Some of the
inner mechanisms will be another metal as they are durable than gold. I have
disassembled different models of these from the same era before and they are
typically 50-75% gold with a small amount of steel or brass items for the
mechanism. As shown in the last pic, the inner shaft that holds the pencil is
brass.

Robbins, Clark & Biddle of 1124 Chestnut Street in Philadelphia. It was a
jewelry store that also sold sterling and plated wares, imported items, clocks,
watches, bronzes, "fancy goods in gilt, leather wood and crystal", which
included jardiniers, ink stands, vases, jewel cases, work boxes and baskets,
thermometers and barometers, vinaigrettes and card cases.

Samuel Biddle is the Biddle of Bailey, Banks & Biddle. He apprenticed with
Thomas C. Garrett 1857, took over his business at some point after 1860 as Clark
& Biddle. That became Robbins, Clark & Biddle (at least by 1876; they're in the
catalog for the Centennial exhibition) and then in 1878 the Bailey, Banks &
Biddle we know today. I've seen items by other makers (including Krider)
retailed by Clark & Biddle, but it seems likely they also made some items, at
least early on.

MCM Sterling Danecraft Necklace 16" long 43.5 grams. Great design with no damage
or issues.

In the early 1900s, as Italy was continuing to become the world leader in
fashion, the Primavera family worked as jewelry artisans in the beautiful area
of Pescara, Italy. In 1918, the family founded Primavera Designs and by 1921 it
had become the largest jewelry company in the Abruzzo region.

It was there that the family became well known throughout the region for their
ability to design and make jewelry for royalty and wealthy families. Often one
of the Primavera jewelry artisans would go directly into the home of a patron to
design and reproduce a cherished object of art into jewelry.

This continued in Italy until 1934, when Mr. Victor Primavera, Sr. immigrated to
the United States and incorporated his company in Rhode Island; the jewelry
capital of the United States. Primavera Designs now had a United States
division, known as Danecraft, with a small factory and Mr. Victor Primavera, Sr.
heading up the design and model making teams.

His forte in designing product was always timeliness. He often said that it was
easy to design a piece to be shown in a museum, but it took research and talent
to design product that would be worn by a woman with fashion sense.

Although the candlelight has been replaced by fluorescent light and some of the
painstaking handwork has been supplemented by modern machinery, the rich and
beautiful handcrafted look of distinction continues.

Since 1934, Danecraft has been privately owned and operated by the Primavera
family.

Some of our clients themselves tell us their memories of Mr. Moon
offering no-interest lay-away for modestly paid downtown secretaries and office
workers to afford buying a piece every now and again.

Ming’s became a favorite staple in Hawaiian jewelry as it often featured
beautiful Hawaiian and Asian cultural themes.
They often featured delicately carved "Off White" pieces, as well as sterling
silver brooches, pearl and jade clusters, and gold bangles.
Popular themes includes the Peony, Lotus, Chrysanthemum, and Plum Flowers, the
infamous “Bird in Plum” and others. Some are said to represent the seasons, or
represent the blending of different Asian cultures.

c1920 Royal Order of Jesters Sterling Silver Enamel Pendant 1.25" wide without bail 12.8 grams, marked sterling on rim. No damage to enamel. About Royal Order Of Jesters Founded in 1911, the Royal Order of Jesters functions in connection with Freemasonry and the Shriners. The organization exists for the encouragement of laughter and fun in leisure time, as evidenced by the motto “Mirth is King.” The Royal Order of Jesters draws its name from the licensed court fools in medieval times known as jesters, who not only amused the patrons whom they served, but also assisted in intellectual and cultural development. When the founding members gathered in Hawaii on February 20, 1911, they chose the name of the Royal Order of Jesters to build upon this history and to set the tone for the organization. Led by Noble A.M. Ellison, the original members, known as a cast, consisted of 13 Shriners headed to Aloha Temple on a pilgrimage. The meeting took place in the Captain's Office aboard the S.S. Wilhelmina after a Testimonial Banquet hosted by the ship's captain and officers. Later, at another meeting in 1917, the organization received its current framework, which consists of the Royal Director and 13 other titles that include the Royal Heavy Man, the Royal Serio Comic, the Royal Tragedian, the Royal Impresario, the Royal Light Comedian, the Royal Leading Lady, the Royal Soubrette, the Royal Property Man, and the Royal Constable. All members, referred to as Jesters, join the organization only upon invitation, presuming good-standing membership in the Shriners. In addition to the brotherhood aspects of the organization, the International Royal Order of Jesters maintains a museum in Indiana where it showcases historical articles. These range from items associated with the history of the order itself to pieces related to the work of humorists from the past, including William Shakespeare.

Rare David Lotton Engraved Multi-flora custom gift pendant. Engraved decoration on borders really sets it off and makes it unique. Signed and dated top reverse with gift dedication on reverse base. No issues. 1.75" without bail x 1.55" wide.DAVID LOTTON David Lotton is a second generation American glassblower. He is the oldest son of Charles Lotton and was introduced to the world of glassblowing at a very young age. In 1970, Charles started building a furnace and began blowing pieces of glass from melted down pop bottles in a shed behind their house. David was there in this infancy and he was Charles first assistant at the age of ten. David has vivid memories of his childhood working in the shop with his father. When most children were playing childhood games he was spending time after school and on the weekends helping him at the bench. By the age of 14 he started learning how to do finishing work, polishing the bottom of the glass flat. David eventually followed in his fathers' footsteps and by the age of 15 began making paperweights. That ignited a passion to begin glass blowing.David has been creating his one of a kind vessels since 1978. His unique handcrafted works are designed with precise attention to detail. Developing his own glass formulas, David has created a complex palette of colors, giving him the ability to create his multi-layering and sculpting style. Each year David continues to study and refine the techniques he uses in creating his art.David's Clematis Reflection Series, Hollyhock Paperweight Series and Mixed Bouquets Series all reflect his floral patterns which capture his love for detail. He combines color and layering to create depth and beauty. His Organic Sculptures reflect movement and rich hues of a summer sunset. David is inspired by all nature. He has a successful ranch in the hills of Kentucky where he is inspired to evolve, change, and grow continually. He commutes back and forth to fulfill both loves. pwdrawer

Retired Jeep Collins Sterling and Brass Shadowbox angel Pendant2.25" wide x 2" tall no damage or detectable wear. In 1972 Jeep Collins, the son of Enid Collins Handbag designer started making jewelry from glass African trade beads that my sister gave me. She told me, "Why don't you put these together with brass wire and I will see if I can sell them in my store." I had just been discharged from the Marine Corps in July and was planning to go back to college in the fall. I needed to earn a little money while I waited to begin school so I took her up on the offer. By September she was selling all the jewelry I could make. I was so encouraged by the sales that I decided to put off college and make jewelry for awhile. Awhile turned into a lifetime career. In time I learned the art of lost wax casting and direct metal fabrication at the Southwest Craft Center in San Antonio. These new skills enabled me to turn sketches into pieces that reflect my interest; wildlife and nature. In 1974 after my redemption through Jesus Christ many of my designs reflected my new found faith. In the early years Dana and I traveled on weekends to arts and craft shows all over Texas to sell what I made during the week. Later we sold to resellers, and in the early 1990’s we opened our own stores in major Texas cities. This was an exciting time; we had over a hundred craftsmen making jewelry in our Fredericksburg workshop; our lives were at a fast pace. Today life is simple, the stores are all closed and we make jewelry in the old tin house on the ranch, very much like the log cabin of my mother’s where I started. We sell from our website and by phone. The downsizing has been a blessing for us. In addition to making jewelry, Dana and I are involved in several Christian ministries, taking care of grandchildren, raising cattle, and growing vegetables.

Her sense of style and fine ability to contribute to the future of modern women enabled her to develop a remarkable collection of innovative and sophisticated pieces. One can immediately recognize the signature style of Zina, by its exquisite and architectural grace and glamour. The successful interplay of semi-precious stones and enamel, with surfaces and textures contrasting against the smooth planes of silver, is what makes her work so unique. Arno Malinowski (1899-1976) Georg Jensen Sterling Necklace. 15" long 1 1/8" or
28mm wide 93.6 grams. No dents, bends, or other issues. Selling the exact
necklace shown designed by Arno Malinowski for Georg Jensen in the 1960's.
Handmade and designed in the mid 1960's, an authentic period Mid Century modern
piece of the highest quality in both design and .

Silversmith. Arno Malinowski trained at the Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts in
Copenhagen from 1922 to 1935 and designed a series of statuettes depicting
figures from mythology from 1921 to 1935 for the Royal Danish Porcelain
Manufactory. He worked for Georg Jensen from 1936 to 1944 and again from 1949 to
1965 creating designs for jewelry and hollowware . His 1937 jewelry designs of a
kneeling deer, a dolphin in the rushes and butterflies on a flower continued in
production for many years. In 1940 he designed the ‘Kingmark’ to commemorate the
seventieth birthday of King Christian. It was produced in great numbers and worn
by Danes to show their loyalty to Denmark and their resistance to the German
occupation. Malinowski had also studied the Japanese technique of inlaying iron
with gold or silver in the style of tsuba sword guards. During the war years
when the supply of silver was limited This enabled him to design pieces of
jewelry in iron rather than in silver. Also worked as a sculptor, ceramist,
engraver and medalist.

Georg Jensen, (born August 31, 1866, Raadvad, Denmark—died October 2, 1935,
Copenhagen), Danish silversmith and designer who achieved international
prominence for his commercial application of modern metal design. The simple
elegance of his works and their emphasis on fine craftsmanship, hallmarks of
Jensen’s products, are recognized around the world.

Jensen was apprenticed to a goldsmith at age 14. His artistic talents were
briefly focused on sculpture, but he returned to metalwork, primarily jewelry
and silver pieces, produced in the workshop he opened in Copenhagen in 1904.
Jensen exhibited his works at several major foreign exhibitions (winning a gold
medal at the Brussels Exhibition of 1910) and quickly built a reputation as an
outstanding and highly original silversmith. He moved to a larger workshop in
1912 and acquired his first factory building in 1919.

Jensen’s silverware achieved immediate popularity and commercial success. He
was, in fact, the first silver maker to realize a profit from the manufacture of
modern silver. Until Jensen’s time virtually all successful silverware producers
had relied on a standard repertory of popular traditional designs. Jensen,
however, found that the market for his sleek, simple pieces was larger than
anyone had predicted. His firm grew rapidly, expanding throughout Europe and
opening branches in London and New York City. On both continents Jensen’s work
set trends for contemporary tableware. He was among the first designers to
fashion steel—formerly considered fit only for low-quality, inexpensive
flatware—into handsome, serviceable cutlery.

MCM Sterling Pietra Dura Multistone Mosaic Inlay southwestern mountains pendant with Lapis, Coral, and other stones. A somewhat confusing piece made by an artist that seemed to be able to think for oneself and combine many styles but didn't care to sign such a work of art. A fantastic Mid century style to the silver mounting which I have no way of know is period or not, really good lapidiary work on a level that has never really been common in the US, but the scene sure reminds me of an Arizona mountain landscape. All hand done approaching micromosaic level. Tests sterling, completely unmarked. 29 grams 3.5" tall x 2.5" wide. This piece is really clean, there are some marks on the wings in the pics, they were residues of silver polish which I have removed.

Egyptian Silver and turquoise pendant with necklace. This piece is great and has significant age on it but I don't have time to figure out the hallmarks, I know the bottom one means it's egyptian, I believe 80% silver purity, there's another one on the top piece that's different. Great piece, 50-100 years old. The necklace was on it when I got it, the necklace tests sterling with a replacement clasp that isn't sterling.34.5 grams Pendant is 3" long x 2.25" wide, necklace is 24" long.
