The man is 17.5" with some minor nicks on the base rim and a small chip on the<br>flower on one shoe, also his hand sticking out has been professionally restored.<br>The lady is 17" and had small chips on base rim and it appears there may have<br>been a bouquet in the cone in her right hand. No other damage. They're both<br>guaranteed c.1860-1890.<br><br>These are very heavy, basically sculptures. They weigh 9 pounds together.

Township life, once again, became important<br>subject matter, although it was rendered in a more personal manner and blended<br>with the African landscape. The landscape element of this newer work is more<br>solid and is rendered as an integral part of the more abstract compositions and<br>forms. c1870 Old Paris Porcelain Bronze mounted Urn/ Oil lamp base. Great piece of mid to late 19th century french porcelain. The last three pics I show it fully assembled how it came into my life. I feel like some time in the 20th century they changed it, perhaps it was an oil lamp base, not really sure. I've reassembled it so you can decide which version of this suits your life the most, it comes apart easily. If I'm in a pinch when packing I may disassemble it. Fully assembled it is 18" tall x 9.25" handle to handle, It's about 14" tall without the base or top. All hand painted with no chips, cracks, or restorations. Some wear to gilding as shown.
