14k gold/Sterling and Lapis Navajo Seed pot by Dennis or Bobby Nofchissey

Description

14k gold/Sterling and Lapis Navajo Seed pot by Dennis or Bobby Nofchissey.
3.25" x 1 3/8" x 135.1 grams. The vertical strips top and bottom are tested and guaranteed solid 14k gold, also the second ring from the top. It is tough to photograph silver and gold together and show their true colors at least for me. This is a top end gallery piece which is hopefully evident from the pics. Both Dennis and Bobby are award winning artisan's. This piece is likely around 30 years old, when this was made metal prices were around 1/10 of what they are today. A piece of this quality would costs thousands directly from the artisan in today's market.

All precious metals are tested and guaranteed. A Native American jewelry piece referred to as "silver" or "ingot" is guaranteed to be at least 90% silver. I rarely use the word "sterling" when referring to older Native American silver or really any older silver jewelry as silver contents vary and "sterling" is 92.5% silver. No older jewelry is going to be exactly 92.5% silver, some a little over, some a little under. It wasn't an exact thing with handmade jewelry. I've seen thousands of pieces xrf'd to prove this. Bracelets are photographed on a 6" women's wrist.
