38" Greg Lewis Acoma sterling and high grade American turquoise belt

Description

Description

Greg Lewis Acoma sterling and high grade American turquoise belt. Weight and measurements in pics. Tested and guaranteed solid sterling. Looks like several different mines, I see a few Bisbee, a few Morenci, nice natural turquoise. Can be worn up to 38" long or anywhere shorter.

Jeweler Greg Lewis learned jewelry making from his paternal grandfather, Alvin Concho Lewis, from Acoma Pueblo. He has continued to work in a very traditional manner, creating new interpretations of old-style designs that his grandparents would recognize. Lewis was born and raised in California but returned to New Mexico in 1979. He now lives and works at Laguna Pueblo, neighboring village to Acoma Pueblo, and the birthplace of his grandmother and his father.

Greg Lewis works entirely with hand tools, some of which he made himself from files and other available metal.
