Auguste Moreau (1834 – 1917) French Bronze sculpture putti with cymbals

Description

Auguste Moreau (1834 – 1917) French Bronze sculpture putti with cymbals. High
quality well cast, heavy solid bronze sculpture from the last half of the 19th
century. 8 5/8" tall, was likely once mounted to a marble base which isn't
present. Estate fresh with remnants of "museum putty" on the base to hold the
figure upright. It stands upright fine by itself but I'd keep it out of reach of
children or pets.

Auguste Moreau (1834 – 1917) was a French sculptor born in Dijon.
