Necklace 22" long counting 4" wide center, earrings 1.75" tall, one<br>small chip to one corner of an earring, no other damage. Total weight 92.2<br>grams.<br><br>Since 1968, experience in all forms of jewelry design and the creative<br>construction of the work itself has given a degree of integrity to Danny’s work<br>not found in many jewelry artists’ pieces. With a background in diamond design,<br>construction, casting and the lapidary arts he is able to bring an unusual scope<br>and dimension to a very well explored media.<br><br>Using his knowledge in casting as well as an unrivaled skill with the jewelers<br>torch, his settings display great strength as well as graceful artistry. Each<br>piece of jewelry created by Danny Stewart is expected, with proper care, to<br>withstand many years of everyday wear.<br>Having such a wide range of skills and many years experience allows Danny the<br>luxury to remain true to the vision before him rather than being limited by a<br>narrow range of abilities.<br><br>Ambitious work like the necklace, bracelet, earrings and ring pictured above,<br>utilizing blood red Mediterranean coral and over a Troy pound of 18 karat gold,<br>is embraced by only the most confident craftsman.<br><br>Rarely entering competitions, Danny has won blue ribbons in every competition he<br>has entered such as his first place award in the 2000 New Mexico Jewelers<br>Association ‘All That Glitters’ - Silver Jewelry Design competition which was<br>displayed at the New Mexico Museum of Natural History.
