Noah Pfeffer was destined to become a jeweler. Growing up, there was always a jewelry shop in his northern Arizona home. His father apprenticed under the Hopi jeweler Charles Loloma, arguably the most gifted and highly respected Native American jeweler in the 20th Century.
Noah spent a lot of time on the Hopi reservation, steeped in the Hopi beliefs and traditions. When he started working with jewelry, Noah concentrated on silver fabrication, stone cutting and inlay in the old style. In the mid-1980’s, he struck out his town.
Interested in exploring new techniques, Noah studied both sand and lost-wax casting, and then perfected his own contemporary look using a variety of inlaid stones to create colorful geometric designs. His pieces exude an artfulness and skill that emphasize his passion for his work.
