Description
Vintage Native American sterling silver concho belt earrings and brooch. Selling the set shown, what we have here I believe is an old concho belt circa mid 20th
century, it's unmarked but tested and guaranteed to be sterling.
Approximately 30 years or so it was likely put on new leather and at that time
one of the conchos was removed and made into a brooch professionally by the same
person that made a set of earrings by hand to match the belt/brooch. Very close
examination of the back of the brooch shows where there was a belt loop attached
to it at one point and removed/ground/polished down. The earrings are marked
sterling on the back of the hook and test sterling and maybe are as old as the
concho belt but I suspect they were made the same time the brooch was converted
as that was obviously done by a skilled jeweler that knew what they were doing.
Brooch and Conchos are 2 3/8" x 2", buckle is 2 1/8" x 3 1/8", earrings are 1
1/8" wide x 2.25" long. Everything tested and guaranteed 90% (Coin) silver or
more other than the back loops of the conchos which are brass or copper as
usual. 307.3 grams total weight 31" total length of belt with holes to fit a
23"- 29" waist. Includes Buckle, 10 Conchos, Brooch, and earrings.
