Douglas Magnus Sterling silver 1" Ranger belt buckle set. Dated 1981, this is a retro version of a set currently offered called the "One thousand Santafean", which retails for $1355. That one is very close but this exact set is not available anywhere for any price....until now. Fantastic estate fresh set, great looking with no issues. Fits a 1" belt so it measures 1" inside the keepers, tip, and buckle. Selling the exact set shown.

Mostly self-taught, Magnus mastered a variety of techniques for metalworking and lapidary gemstone cutting. His early visits to the ancient turquoise mines near Santa Fe were instrumental in his learning the art of stone cutting. Today, his interest in the mines goes beyond the intense, clear blue beauty of the gemstone - he owns three of the fabled Cerrillos mines that have produced some of the most spectacular and historically significant turquoise found in the U.S. “I want to be assured that the mines will always be available for historical, archaeological, and mineralogical study,” Magnus offered.
