1950's Rosenthal HEIDENREICH Seagull Figures Pair<br><br>Looks splendid. Acknowledged artist, ceramist and sculptor Fritz Heidenreich<br>(1895 – 1966) designed this figure in 1934. He was a Rosenthal employee from<br>1919 to 1960, and from 1946 onwards the head of the art department in Selb. He<br>always tried to find contemporary ways of expressing his sense of forms. The<br>most famous of his works is vase called ‘Pregnant Luise’ (‘Orchideenvase’). All<br>Rosenthal famous Op-Art was started after he introduced this vase. He is also<br>well known for fish group ‘Scalare’, which was awarded with Grand Prize in Paris<br>in 1937. Seagull is marked on the backside with standard Rosenthal, Germany mark<br>in green identifying production of late 1950s.<br>They are 7.25" and 9" tall with 9" and 12" wingspans. Condition is immaculate<br>with no cracks or chips found. Colors are bright and vibrant.<br>isshelf
