From) was born in 1908 and opened his first workshop in 1931 when he was still only twenty-three . Over the next forty years Niels Erik went on to become one one of the greats of Danish design, and created many works including floral-inspired designs often set with semi-precious gemstones. These pieces took inspiration from the Skønvirke style. This was a Scandinavian development that formed part of Denmark’s Art Nouveau and Arts and Crafts movement . Noritake Nippon Moriage Wedgwood Style Lamps with Hand Painted Neoclassical Figures. 15.75" total height, the Porcelain inserts are 9" tall x 5.75" wide. A well done pair of lamps obviously assembled in the early 20th century. I didn't take them apart to see if the inserts were originally vases or made as lamps. I'm attributing them to Noritake as I've had other pieces in this wonderful and scarce pattern. No damage to porcelain, some expected oxidation to metal fittings, working condition. Northwestern Terra-Cotta Denver Colorado Sample Dog Doorstop/Bookend. 5.5" tall x 5" deep, a few glaze flakes on base, no large chips, no cracks, no restorations. Rare example tw119 Northwestern Terra Cotta Co. Founded in Chicago in 1878 by a group of investors including John R. True, this company became a major producer of terra cotta trimmings used by the construction industry. By the early 1890s, when Northwestern Terra Cotta employed approximately 500 men, annual sales approached $600,000. By 1910, its large plant at Clybourn and Wrightwood Avenues had about 1,000 workers. The popularity of placing terra cotta moldings on building facades peaked in the 1920s, and Northwestern Terra Cotta led the way, in Chicago and around the country. Around this time, the company opened plants in St. Louis and Denver. Beginning with Louis Sullivan earlier in the century, prominent Chicago architects like Frank Lloyd Wright had extensive contracts with the company. Included among the many landmark Chicago buildings for which Northwestern supplied extensive decorative moldings were the Civic Opera House, the Chicago Theater, the Wrigley Building, and the Randolph Tower. Northwestern's operations in Chicago declined alongside the construction industry during Great Depression and never returned to their 1920s levels. In 1965, Northwestern Terra Cotta Co.'s only remaining plant, in Denver, closed.

Nymphenburg Blanc de Chine Allegorical Figure Set. Selling the set, tallest 7.5"<br>from the third quarter of the 20th century with 5 of Bustelli's Ovidian s<br>standing on plinths. From 1754 to 1763 Franz Anton Bustelli modeled a set of<br>small putti at Nymphenburg, representing the Roman s as described by the Latin<br>poet Ovid. He took a different approach from previous representations of s,<br>seeing them as smiling, playful children in a Baroque style, with sculptural,<br>three-dimensional poses that twist and turn. Each figure has to be seen in the<br>round to be fully appreciated. Each figure is also accompanied by a specific<br>object or objects that identify which is represented, for example, a wine barrel<br>and an upraised cup for the of wine, Bacchus. Olga Quezada Mata Ortiz pottery jar 5" wide x 3 7/8" tall with no damage or detectable wear. Olga Quezada Hernandez is one of the first generation master potters whose work is highly sought after in Mata Ortiz, Mexico. She is married to Humberto Ledezma, and her son is the very well known potter Guadalupe Ledezma. Olga Quezada works in the traditional cuadricula pattern of squares, and favors the use of a gorgeous deep earthy brown clay that stands out from the rest. Her work is easily identifiable for it's beauty, precision and precisely painted design. Olga is one of the few original first generation potters that are still faithfully crafting gorgeous pottery, and her work bears all the hallmarks of light weight museum quality work.There is so much elegance in this piece. Contemporary, modern and sleek.. yet using all of the traditional techniques of Mata Ortiz pottery. With all of the precision in this piece, it is hard to believe that it was hand polished using an agate stone and painted with long strands of human hair. The clay used in this piece has been dug from the local countryside, and then refined to remove most impurities. This allows the clay to be used in hand forming this pot without the use of a potters wheel! tw147

One of a Kind Gold mounted sterling silver ranger belt with 5 more sets mounted<br>to it. 6 Ranger sets total. All the ranger sets from the first half of the 20th<br>century, all sterling mounted in gold, all hand engraved, I believe all are Made<br>in Mexico except one has Made in Texas, I believe it's a Nelson Bringhoff. The<br>larger main buckle is a 1" ranger set, the others are 3/4" ranger sets. Total<br>length 41", I believe it will fit a 32" to 35" waist, an extra hole could likely<br>be added for a 36". The leather is in good condition, this was custom made by<br>"The Leather Bench" of Austin Texas. The belt is 2" at widest point and tapers<br>down to 15/16".

Pair of Derby Boy and Girl Figures 5" tall. Beautiful pair. The boy has one leaf<br>chipped on basket, girl has slight loss to basket and a 1" hairline in the base<br>that is really difficult to find. I believe these may be" King Street Derby"<br>perhaps from the early 20th century.<br><br>King Street, Derby(1848 to 1935)<br>A group of former employees set up a factory in King Street in Derby, and<br>continued to use the moulds, patterns and trademarks of the original business,<br>but not the name. No mechanical processes were used and no two pieces produced<br>were exactly the same. Among the items preserved was the original potters wheel<br>used by the Duesburys.<br>There is much damage to the applied Florals on both pieces. Pairpoint Oversized Brilliant Period Cut Glass Casket Jewelry box. Very large box in grat condition with no large chips, no cracks, no other issues. There are some small chips to the vertical cuts on the base only visible upon close examination 7.5" wide x 4.5" tall, I didn't find a mark. Palatial c1900 Art Nouveau Franz Mehlem Royal Bonn Hand Painted Portrait vase. 22" Tall, rare size. The portrait is hand painted and artist signed J. Duren. Raised gold flowers hand painted. The overall floral decoration appears to be hand painted over a transfer base. This piece is really over the top. I didn't notice until I was photographing this and it was on a mantle when I bought it, but there is a fairly clean break in the green area where the base tapers. It has been glued with epoxy and is strong. This is by far the best piece of Royal Bonn I've ever had or seen, I'm discounting heavily for this repair and the fact that it possibly once had a lid.Royal Bonn is the 19th and 20th Century Trade Name used by the renowned craftsman Franz Anton Mehlem, who produced pottery in Bonn, Germany from 1836 to 1931. Fine Porcelain and Earthenware were manufactured in the factory. In 1921, the firm was purchased by Villeroy & Boch and closed in 1931. TW228
