6.5" 30‘s-40‘s Nevada Blue Spiderweb #8 turquoise sterling silver cuff bracelet. Tested and guaranteed solid sterling silver with weight and measurements in pictures. Good condition, circa second quarter of the 20th century with no markings. Old fracture in stone. Stone is secure in bezel. It is not going anywhere, but would be a good candidate for a fancy thin silver bar covering the crack. I‘ve seen this before and consider it a very stylish repair. Very high grade stone that could be from a few different Nevada mines like Lone Mountain, Indian Mountain, #8, or Nevada Blue.

He is a self-taught silversmith. His inspirations often come from petroglyphs or pueblo designs although the execution of his designs is more symbolic than realistic. The result is a more modern verses traditional design that he likes to embellish with various stones including amethysts and garnets for a lustrous effect. Weight and measurements in pictures, Tested and guaranteed solid sterling silver. Vintage, new old stock, unworn. Alvin Yellowhorse is a highly skilled and innovative Navajo jeweler. Born in 1968, Alvin comes from a long line of silversmiths. He is the older brother of Bryon Yellowhorse, and the cousin of the late Lynol Yellowhorse. Alvin learned the trade from his father, Frank Yellowhorse. "As a young boy, I remember helping my father set up a table of jewelry along the roadside of old Route 66 located near the Arizona and New Mexico borders in Lupton, Arizona. It was in these earlier days of my life that I was inspired by my father to undertake the art of silversmithing. Its through these experiences that these creations are made possible, he reflects. Since 1995, Alvin has been creating unique, cutting edge jewelry that blends modern designs with traditional techniques. Alvin has won numerous awards for his work, and he was even featured with his brother in an article on turquoise in the August 1999 edition of Smithsonian Magazine. Alvins designs are inspired by drawings found on nearby cliffs in his homeland, which were left by his ancestors. There, designs are transformed through much thought into pieces of contemporary inlaid jewelry. These designs are created with the use of sterling silver and or 14k gold, along with carefully selected stones from around the world.

If you look at pictures/description your
question should be answered. Thank you so much for your time and consideration! If you would like to chat, that would be great, but lets chat about something that isn't answered in this listing that we put so much effort into already :). All precious metals are tested and guaranteed. A Native American jewelry piece referred to as "silver" or "ingot" is guaranteed to be at least 90% silver. I rarely use the word "sterling" when referring to older Native American silver or really any older silver jewelry as silver contents vary and "sterling" is 92.5% silver. No older jewelry is going to be exactly 92.5% silver, some a little over, some a little under. It wasn't an exact thing with handmade jewelry. I've seen thousands of pieces xrf'd to prove this. Bracelets are photographed on a 6" women's wrist.

6.5" Benny Armijo 1980's Southwestern-Modernist Multi-stone inlay cuff bracelet. Sugilite, a few types of turquoise, a few petrified things, Lapis. No damage or issues. Benny Armijo (1937-2022). Benny was a renowned master Navajo silversmith who specialized in this complex inlay and "corn row" type cobblestone inlay using high quality stones. His jewelry was featured on the Oprah Winfrey show and was collected by many high-profile artists from James Taylor, Charlie Daniels, to Hank Williams Jr. His pieces can be seen on many album covers of top music groups and are highly collectable today. His incredible sense of humor was as well-known as his jewelry. He was simply the most generous man that one could ever imagine, always helping complete strangers he encountered along the way. He was active from the early 70's until the late 20th century.. His older mark from the 1970's looks like a tadpole and has been misattributed to "Edward Zuni", but I'm 100% sure this is Benny Armijo's work and hallmark, it's been confirmed by his living relatives. Benny was born in Santa Fe, New Mexico Benito M Armijo Jr The older stamp he first used was to represent the letter C and letter M which stood for Chief Marcos. Many years later maybe around 1989 he stamped his jewelry with Benny Armijo. He lived in California for many years and returned to New Mexico and passed away January 2022. He was known for his stone inlay on what he called a Hopi wedding band in which all the stones were inlaid inside the ring or bracelet. Giving the thought that the beauty between the couple is in the eye of the beholder and the couple would choose the different color of stones and their meanings to be inlaid on their wedding bands.

6.5" Bev Etsate Zuni inlaid plaque in Navajo heavy stamped silver cuff bracelet. The silver work on this cuff is way better than any Bev Etsate cuffs I've seen. It's signed on the back illegibly, very nice silverwork. Likely a collaboration.

Beverly Etsate is an acclaimed Zuni Inlay artist. Bev is the daughter of revered Zuni artists Rosalie and Augustine Pinto. Bev continues her parents’ tradition of inlaid jewelry by producing jewelry in the same style as her elders. As she had learned from her parents she has been a teacher to her two sons Carl Etsate a fetish carver and Todd Etsate as well as her daughter Tracy Bowekaty, a jewelry maker who is also following in her mother’s and grandparents’ paths.

She has over 40 years of experience in her craft. Over that time, she has become one of Zuni's foremost jewelers.

Her work ranges through all the traditional techniques of Zuni: mosaic inlay, raised inlay, animated, pictorial inlay, and also needlepoint. She creates overlay and inlay figures, blossoms, holiday themes, corn style inlay, and needlepoint. Some of her favorite designs are kachinas, mudheads and bears. A great sense of humor is evident in many of her holiday pieces.

Marked or unmarked as shown in pics, weight and other measurements in pics. Bruce Morgan Navajo 14K & Sterling Silver Heavy Cuff Bracelet 6.5" inside
diameter including the 1.5" gap 13/16" wide at widest point near gap. 106.3
grams, really solid with very thick layer of 14k gold. Most of the Bruce Morgan
cuffs you will find online in this price range weigh about half as much or less.Bruce Morgan (b. 1957) is an award-winning Navajo silversmith. He is well known
for his use of both silver and gold in his pieces and his iconic gold overlay.
Born in Rehoboth, New Mexico and raised in Brimhall, Morgan made his first piece
of jewelry while in high school. His aunt made jewelry and was sadly killed in
an accident. His grandmother gave Morgan her tools in hopes that he would make
use of them, which he gladly did.

After graduating in 1976, he moved to Phoenix, Arizona and began making jewelry
for others in 1978; however, it was a slow start for Morgan and in order to
support himself financially, he took a job as a miner in the Uranium Mine and
began training to become an electrician. After a year of training, he got laid
off and continued on to school for commercial electrician and planned on
becoming an electrical engineer. After realizing that it was too much physical
work, he went back to jewelry making and found a way to stand out from the rest.

Morgan started out with traditional style jewelry making conchas and turquoise,
but in 1983 he was one of the first artists to use the two tone method of silver
and gold. In 1982, he made a silver cane for the Prime Minister in Egypt and in
1983 began using “traditional and simple” stampwork and creating his signature
gold overlay. Although he admires the traditional pieces, he has said he will
continue to only make his gold overlay jewelry, because it is quicker to make
and allows people to have a one of a kind piece that can be worn daily or for a
special occasion. His rings are often used as wedding bands for that very
reason.

Morgan’s exceptionally clean lines and renowned gold overlay has brought
attention to his work in not only the US, but worldwide. He has been featured in
“Arizona Highways” and “Southwest Art” magazines and continues to create
beautiful pieces of jewelry to this day.
