Descrizione

1987 Chris Hammack Original Wood Carving "Worlds Greatest Lobbyist" Fort Worth
Texas. 10.5" tall x 4 3/8" wide at base. Extremely rare find by a noted artist
that started the same year this was created reproducing his sculptures in resin
which have sold all over the world. This is one piece of solid carved wood other
than the round base. The carving is incredible and it's obvious why he's been so
successful. This was under a glass dome all it's life and is in mint condition.
It will be extremely well packed to get there in the same condition. I won't be
including the dome as it would complicate shipping. Below is a bio from his
website.

After all these years, one thing remains,

Chris Hammack loves to whittle and make people laugh.

Chris’s carving career began over 36 years ago after a thirty foot fall landed
him in the hospital. During a five month convalescence he picked up a piece of
firewood and a pocket knife and began carving caricatures, of which he had
sketched as a young boy growing up in Texas.

Within a couple of years, Chris was competing in carving competitions and
bringing home some blue ribbons.

The years following would begin to bring national acclaim to his work as a
woodcarver. In 1987, Hammack started a very successful wholesale business
reproducing his original carvings in resin. This company, Spit N’ Whittle, led
to his work selling around the globe. During these years he also designed
several successful gift lines for other major gift companies in the US.

Hammack has shared his carving talent through teaching numerous live seminars
nationwide, and now also teaches classes one on one over the internet.

Chris happily says,

“For me, woodcarving has never lost its magic.
