c1910 Bronze Dore Mounted Tiffany Favrille vase. This is a very large version of<br>this vase, with original label on glass. 15.75" total height, vase by itself<br>outside of holder is 12" tall, the bronze petals flare out a little, I believe<br>they were made that way to hold the vase better. There is some wear to the<br>finish of bottom section of the vase that is hidden by the holder and the worlds<br>tiniest chigger bite on top rim shown in the last pics. It's not noticeable<br>unless thoroughly scrutinized in hand, then still not.<br><br>Louis Comfort Tiffany (1848 - 1933): The Founder of Tiffany Studios was a master<br>artist in the style of Art Nouveau and the design director at Tiffany & Co.<br>Whether it be with glass, jewelry or painting supplies, everything Tiffany<br>crafted was done with the utmost perfection. Often his paintings were of<br>brilliant landscapes inspired by his travels to Europe. However, he painted all<br>over the world from Africa to Asia, North America and Europe. Along the way he<br>gain access to many memberships including the National Academy of Design in 1887<br>and Chevalier of the Legion of Honor of France. He also won several awards and<br>had his art exhibited at: The Museum of Modern Art, Metropolitan Museum of Art,<br>the Chicago Institute of Art and many others. While he is most well know for his<br>jewelry company and beautiful favrile glass, Tiffany's talents as an artist have<br>not been forgotten
