Antique Chinese Ink cake set. 12" x 8.25" box. Remarkable set of eight ink cakes<br>inset in original fitted box. Ink cakes decorated with mythical creatures,<br>themes from nature, auspicious symbols and calligraphic inscriptions and often<br>embellished with colors and gilding. The set was stored away from view for<br>decades and has rarely been handled, helping preserve good condition. See four<br>character inscription and red seal mark on cover of the box. They are dusty with<br>caked up ink, etc from years of storage.
