Welcome to our humble Mom, Pop, and Baby store! Since we are a small operation we do not meet the thresholds to collect sales tax in any state but our own (Texas). If you are visiting after a conversation with me on Etsy or Ebay, the Item(s) you are looking for will be under the exact same title and the search box in the top center works really well. If you are "cold searching" for something I have found that "Less is more" when using the search box. Example: If you are searching for Size 7 rings, the most effective thing to do is type "sz7" in the search box (with no spaces). If you want size 7.25, 7.5, etc. to come up then don't put it in quotes. The same goes for bracelets, if you are looking for 6"(inside circumference) cuff bracelets just enter " 6" cuff" into the search box. From my experience adding more words leave out important search results and bring unrelated search results to the top. Then you have the ability to sort it high to low price, etc. It's tough organizing an inventory this size. We do a lot of business and we are so grateful for that, but for the most part we are high volume/low profit and still can't seem to get ahead enough to afford help. Thank you so much for taking the time to look at my stuff and considering taking some of it off my hands. Also if you have any questions or suggestions I'd love to hear them... Ian

About John Hardy

Inspired by Bali and its time-honored jewelry-making traditions, John Hardy’s artisan collective was founded in 1975 with a dedication to handcrafted jewelry. We are committed to sustainable luxury business practices, our craftspeople and the preservation of Bali. We pride ourselves on the value of authenticity; it is the soul of community that makes each piece truly one of a kind.

WE ARE ARTISANS One of the largest employers on the island of Bali, the John Hardy Workshop & Kapal Bamboo Boutique employs over 500 multi-generational craftspeople, from watercolor artists to metalsmiths. Dedication to heritage artistry not only defines the John Hardy legacy, it retains artisan families that craft jewelry through meditative, communal chain-weaving, hand-hammering and carving.

WE ARE COMMUNITY We are fueled by the spirit of togetherness and dedicate ourselves to the artisans whose deep connection to Bali inspires the foundation of our Workshop & Kapal Bamboo Boutique. We offer an apprenticeship program, Jobs For Life, that provides vocational training and financial support to the citizens of Bali. Each participant is given the opportunity to join the workshop, where we provide locally sourced family-style meals to several-hundred workers––a gathering ritual that both fosters a sense of community and attracts visitors.

WE ARE SUSTAINABLE As a certified member of the Responsible Jewellery Council, and Kimberley Process compliant, John Hardy is committed to codes of practice that ensure our stones, diamonds and metals are conflict-free and ethically produced every step of the way.

The same sense of responsibility is applied to our packaging. From our jewelry boxes to our shopping bags, all paper materials are now certified by the Forest Stewardship Council, a non-profit that manages the environmental and economic benefits of trees.

We also craft jewelry that gives back. Our “Wear Bamboo, Plant Bamboo” initiative, in partnership with non-profit 1,000 Bamboo Villages, is committed to cultivating the natural beauty of Bali. This means every time you shop from our Bamboo Collection, we plant bamboo seedlings in Bali on your behalf.
