Jim Harrison Navajo Micro inlay sterling pendantJim Harrison (Navajo) creates complex designs by using some of the finest inlay in his work. He was influenced and mentored by the famous master jewelers Preston and Jesse Monongye. Jim has won numerous awards and has been featured in many magazines including American Indian Art, Cosmopolitan and Sunset. You can see Jim’s work in Jerry Jacka’s book Enduring Traditions: Art of the Navajo and Lois Dubin’s book North American Indian Jewelry and Adornment. All precious metals are tested and guaranteed. A Native American jewelry piece referred to as "silver" or "ingot" is guaranteed to be at least 90% silver. I rarely use the word "sterling" when referring to older Native American silver or really any older silver jewelry as silver contents vary and "sterling" is 92.5% silver. No older jewelry is going to be exactly 92.5% silver, some a little over, some a little under. It wasn't an exact thing with handmade jewelry. I've seen thousands of pieces xrf'd to prove this. Bracelets are photographed on a 6" women's wrist.

No older jewelry is going to be exactly 92.5% silver, some a little over, some a little under. It wasn't an exact thing with handmade jewelry. I've seen thousands of pieces xrf'd to prove this. 6 3/8" Toby Henderson Navajo Sterling and coral Kachina group cuff bracelet. No issues.Toby Henderson was born in Phoenix, though his family is from the Borrago Pass Reservation in New Mexico. He comes from a long line of silversmiths including mother Ella Long, his grandparents, Helen and Jim Long, and his Uncle Phillip Long, and Tommy Long are all silversmiths. He learned from his grandparents with whom he spent summers when he was 7 and 8 years old. They were very patient, inspiring and so happy that he was carrying on the tradition of their art. He started with a bola tie, rings, and then he explored his own style doing silver mudheads, sun, and yei be chai kachinas. His first pieces were bola ties with dimensional silversmith work. He was the first in his family to do freestanding kachinas. The family tradition now continues with his three daughters, ages 13, 15 and 16, and his 23 year old son Wayne. His oldest daughter helps with his designs and all the girls help with cleaning, washing, and buffing. They work as a team.Sadly, we lost a very special friend and silversmith when Toby passed away in October 2019. His unique talent and creativity lives on in his beautiful jewelry. We love you, Toby! All precious metals are tested and guaranteed, any Native American jewelry
referred to as Silver or Sterling is guaranteed to be a minimum of 90% (coin)
silver and possibly higher content. 6.75" Cody Sanderson Navajo Heavy Repousse silver cuff bracelet. Cody Sanderson was born in Gallup, New Mexico, USA in 1964 and was raised in Window Rock, Arizona – the seat of government and capital of the Navajo Nation. Cody had a less than glamorous upbringing as many other natives living on the confines of a reservation do, but this hardscrabble life helped to develop the determination, perseverance and hard-working ambition that has attributed to Cody’s success where others have failed. Cody has gained world renowned recognition for his pieces due to his daring creativity and unique, distinctive style.Cody’s use of stars is ubiquitous in almost all of his designs. Stars are recognized in every country and continent and appears on countless flags. They symbolize the heavens, brightness and good fortune. Cody wants his brand and his pieces to convey and invoke the same positive energy to everyone who wears his jewelry or his apparel. When describing his brand with one adjective – FUN is the first thing that comes to mind! Cody wants everyone, young and old, male or female to enjoy his adornments and the craftsmanship, imagination and enthusiasm he brings to each and every work of art!Cody’s slogan is – Wear it Now! Wear it Well! Wear it Out! Achievements Of Sanderson’s Silver Craft Utilizing the fast-disappearing technique of hand-forging and integrating them with CAD and 3D printing, Cody is combining traditional methods with modern technology and bringing his designs to the 21st century! His simple ring design, for example, is shaped into a “square-circle” with an inverted V appearance. It speaks of volumes of Sanderson’s insight into the skeletal system and attempt to make the ring more comfortable for wearing.Regardless of how “aggressive” a piece may look, Cody spends hours cutting, bending, shaping and refining the piece to ensure prolonged wear-ability without causing any discomfort to the wearer or admirer. Since the brand’s inception in 2001, Cody has won numerous awards for his work including the 2005 SWAIA (Southwestern Association for Indian Arts) Fellowship Award and the 2008 “Best of Show” Award at the Heard Museum in Phoenix. Due to these complicated steps and difficult processes to achieve the “Artistic Value” he was looking for, he would only produce a few pieces at a time. Cody’s attention to detail makes all of his pieces worthy of the title “World Class”!!!All precious metals are tested and guaranteed. 7" Richard Begay Navajo Sterling New Lander Variscite cuff bracelet

7" Richard Begay Navajo Sterling New Lander Variscite cuff braceletRichard Begay was born and raised in Navajoland, Arizona. Throughout his art classes in school, he always wanted to create the perfect shape. His first career, however, took him into the Forest Industry. He soon realized that he wanted to follow the yearnings of his heart and create beautiful jewelry. He borrowed jewelry tools from his father-in-law and set to work, learning the demanding craft of silversmithing. Richard was immediately drawn to the intricate inlay work, for which he is known for. As he perfected his craft, Richard explored different techniques of inlaying. He was always searching for the best way, the most beautiful setting, the perfect harmony of material and craft. He also developed an eye for choosing the best stones for his inlay. Turquoise and coral are his favorite, but Richard used a wide variety of stones and shells, including malachite, spiny oyster, and pacific coral. Not limited to the usual in anything he did, he also inlaid opals, sugilite, lapis and other exotic stones into his award-winning pieces. The importance of harmony in his work was echoed in his silverwork, especially his pendants. In these pieces, he incorporated important symbols from his culture. Corn was a significant gift to the People by the Creator--it represents life to the Navajo. The Yei-Be-Che is the personal link between the Navajo gods and mortal man. The Bear, one of the four animals given to the first people, embodies power and wisdom. It was provided for protection and guidance, and to ward off evil. Richard also used the Steppe Design found in the wedding baskets and recreates special times, such as the social dances he goes to. Encircling it all is his extraordinary inlay, adding color and life. The beautiful things Richard looked for exist in his creations.Richard passed away in 2013.All precious metals are tested and guaranteed.
