Andrew Dewa was a Zuni silversmith active from the 1960s until his passing in 2001. Dewa was known for his "raised and carved" inlay, which gave his pieces a distinct dimensional quality. He worked with sterling silver and materials like turquoise, coral, jet, and mother of pearl.
Andrew Dewa learned the craft from his parents, Anita and Leroy Dewa. His brother, Don Dewa, is also a highly regarded Zuni jeweler, known for his sunface inlay designs.
