6.6" Tommy Jackson Navajo sterling silver spirit bear overlay cuff bracelet. Tested and guaranteed solid sterling silver with weight and measurements in pictures. Great condition with age appropriate wear, circa last quarter of the 20th century.
Tommy Jackson is a Navajo Silversmith from Chinle, Arizona. He was born in Phoenix. His parents, Martha and Gene, both taught Tommy how to silversmith. Tommy has earned several awards for his incredible traditional and contemporary jewelry.
Tommy's work is displayed at Santa Fe Indian Market, the Heard Museum and Northern Indian Pueblo Arts & Crafts shows.
Tommy graduated from the University of Arizona and became a teacher at Wide Ruins Community School. The students he taught became jewelers--including Jim Harrison, a well-known inlay silversmith.
