Sam Patania modernist sterling silver Mediterranean coral necklace/earring. Selling the necklace and earrings shown in good condition with measurements in pictures. Tested and guaranteed solid sterling silver. 18k accent on reverse of necklace. Weight and measurements in pictures. Circa last quarter of the 20th century, 19" long. Signed as shown. New old stock condition, appears to have never been worn.
Sam Patania - Third Generation Artisan in Jewelry
Sam Patania, as the third generation of Patania artisans, has followed in the footsteps of his father and grandfather (Frank Patania, Sr.) before him. In 1969, at the age of ten, he began his apprenticeship at the Tucson Thunderbird Shop. For the next decade, his after-school training would be a major part of his daily routine. But Sam followed his own path, having sought instruction outside the traditions of the shop.
