Navajo silversmith Albert Platero was born on the Navajo reservation in To‘hajiilee, New Mexico, thirty miles west Of Albuquerque, New Mexico. He has been creating outstanding classic silver work since the rise of its popularity in the 1970‘s. "Platero" means "silversmith" in Spanish, so it perhaps makes sense that the Platero family has so many talented silver smiths in it. Albert is the uncle of Vincent Platero, another outstanding silversmith.

38" Fred Guerro Apache Sterling silver concho belt with turquoise. 39.5" total length, 38" to the last hole, can be worn shorter of course, other measurements in pictures 317 grams total weight. Very good vintage condition with no significant issues. 11 Conchos and 1 Buckle (14 total) Fred was born Nov. 14, 1934, to the late Juan and Yananpah Guerro. His clans are Chishi (Apache), born for ‘Áshiihí (Salt People Clan). He passed away peacefully on Nov. 21, 2020, in Albuquerque. Fred was the last of Juan and Yananpah Guerros children. He was known to be very kind, gentle, and always telling jokes and stories. Fred was a born-again Christian and never wavered in his faith. He always quoted bible scriptures and tested your biblical knowledge to ensure one learned. He loved his family very much that he would do anything and everything for them. Fred was a master silversmith, selling his jewelry nationwide and with his regular customers in Socorro, Alamogordo, and Gallup. He built houses, mostly out of adobe mud, a skill that is becoming very rare. Fred was also a skilled fence builder and travelled many miles to work for ranchers across the state. Many nephews and relatives who travelled with him to hunting and fence building remember his stories, his humor, and jokes.

Looks like several different mines, I see a few Bisbee, a few Morenci, nice natural turquoise. Can be worn up to 38" long or anywhere shorter. Jeweler Greg Lewis learned jewelry making from his paternal grandfather, Alvin Concho Lewis, from Acoma Pueblo. He has continued to work in a very traditional manner, creating new interpretations of old-style designs that his grandparents would recognize. Lewis was born and raised in California but returned to New Mexico in 1979. He now lives and works at Laguna Pueblo, neighboring village to Acoma Pueblo, and the birthplace of his grandmother and his father. Greg Lewis works entirely with hand tools, some of which he made himself from files and other available metal.

4 antike Barbierflaschen aus Amethyst-Kobaltblau-Opaleszentglas. Alle vier werden zu einem Preis verkauft. Die Höhe reicht von 6,5 Zoll bis 7 3/8 Zoll, alle aus dem späten 19. und frühen 20. Jahrhundert. Keine Risse, Chips oder Restaurierungen. In der zweiten Hälfte des 19. Jahrhunderts waren ausgefallene Friseurflaschen beliebt. Friseure stellten ihr eigenes Haarwasser und andere Haarprodukte her oder kauften sie in großen Behältern und füllten sie in ihre eigenen Friseurflaschen. Die meisten Friseurflaschen waren nicht beschriftet, aber der Friseur wusste aufgrund der Form und Farbe, was sich in jeder Flasche befand. Einige wurden für bestimmte Kunden hergestellt und mit dem Namen des Kunden beschriftet. Die meisten haben einen bauchigen Boden und einen dünnen Hals. Die Flaschen wurden aus Cranberry-, Cut-, Hobnail-, Milch-, Opaleszenz-, Spritz-, Vaseline- und anderen Arten von Kunstglas in vielen Farben hergestellt. Die meisten waren aufgeflogen. Suchen Sie nach einer Pontil-Markierung am Boden der Flasche. Der Stopfen ist auch ein guter Hinweis auf die Verwendung der Flasche. Wenn es einen Sprinkleraufsatz hat, handelt es sich nicht um eine Spirituosenflasche. Der Pure Food and Drugs Act von 1906 machte die Verwendung von wiederbefüllbaren Flaschen ohne Etikett in einem Friseursalon illegal, und die Flaschen wurden nicht mehr verwendet.

Böhmische Ajka Caroline Kobaltblaue Wasserkelche. Verkaufe 4 Kelche zu einem Preis, wobei durch Änderung der Menge auf 2 weitere 4 Kelche erhältlich sind. Sie sind 8 3/8" hoch x 3" breit am Rand, alle in neuwertigem Zustand, absolut ohne Beschädigungen oder Abnutzungserscheinungen jeglicher Art. Höchstwahrscheinlich nie benutzt. Es gibt zwei scheinbar identische Muster von Ajka, ein Carolyne und ein Caroline. Ich glaube, dass die Caroline-Wasserkelche eine Höhe von 8 3/8 Zoll haben, was diese auch sind, außerdem hat Caroline 9 Fan-Punkte, was diese erreichen, und Carolyne hat 7, beide Muster wurden 2004 aus dem Verkehr gezogen. tw212

Wright, Tyndale & Van Roden Philadelphia war ein sehr hochwertiges Geschäft, das sich in der Zeit von etwa 1880 bis 1930 in Philadelphia auf den Verkauf von Porzellan spezialisierte. Es verkaufte historische Szenenteller aus Minton sowie viele andere Porzellanhersteller aus Minton, Limoges und vergleichbarer Qualität. Später waren Caldwells und Bailey Banks ähnliche Geschäfte. Der Name des Vorgängergeschäfts lautete Tyndale. Der Begriff „Dresdner Porzellan“ bezieht sich eher auf eine künstlerische Strömung als auf eine bestimmte Figuren- oder Geschirrserie. Als Reaktion auf den Aufstieg der „Romantik“ im 19. Jahrhundert entstanden in der sächsischen Landeshauptstadt mehrere Dekorationsateliers. Dresden war ein wichtiges Zentrum dieser künstlerischen, kulturellen und intellektuellen Bewegung, die Maler, Bildhauer, Dichter, Philosophen und Porzellandekorateure gleichermaßen anzog.
