Large 40‘s-50‘s Zuni Ondelacy Family Turquoise cluster pin/pendant. Nice old pin with a non-destructive pendant hook added later. Natural American turquoise, solid sterling silver from the second quarter of the 20th century. Weight and measurements in pics. Unmarked as typical of this era. ONDELACY, WARREN & DORIS (Zuni, active.1940-1960‘s). Specialized in large Zuni cluster work. Warren was considered a master silversmith along with his wife Doris. Recognizable techniques of silver repousse work often accompanied their designs along with the consistent use of high quality materials. Trader C. G. Wallace, retained many of the Ondelacy‘s pieces for his private collection. All precious metals are tested and guaranteed. Large Alvin Monte Navajo 14k/Sterling turquoise, multi-stone reversible pendant.<br><br>Navajo jewelry artist Alvin Monte works in both gold and silver, often making his own stamping tools to create one-of-a-kind designs. Born in Socorro, Monte grew up in Canoncito, New Mexico. Both his parents were well-known silversmiths but Monte didn’t pick up the trade until he moved away from home. He is a self-taught silversmith. His inspirations often come from petroglyphs or pueblo designs although the execution of his designs is more symbolic than realistic. The result is a more modern verses traditional design that he likes to embellish with various stones including amethysts and garnets for a lustrous effect.<br><br>Monte is now teaching his young son, who at age nine shows a talent for silver-smithing, thus elevating another generation of the Montes into the artist world.<br><br> Marked or unmarked as shown in pics, weight and other measurements in pics. Große antike Essex-Kristall-Boxerhund-Anstecknadel aus 14 Karat Gold
Große antike Essex-Kristall-Boxerhund-Anstecknadel aus 14 Karat Gold. Markiert und getestet, 14 Karat Gold, 4,4 cm breit, 22 Gramm, keine Schäden oder Probleme. Sehr wunderbares Objekt, das im wirklichen Leben so großartig ist, aber aufgrund von Reflexionen schwer zu fotografieren ist. Dieses Stück ist 100–120 Jahre alt. Essex-Kristallstücke werden aus einem Bergkristall-Cabochon (polierte Bergkristallkuppeln mit flacher Basis) geformt. Anschließend wird ein Bild oder Motiv umgekehrt in die flache Basis geschnitzt und dann bemalt, um ihnen den Eindruck eines dreidimensionalen Objekts oder Bildes zu verleihen von oben betrachtet im Cabochon verkapselt. Dieser Prozess des Schnitzens in die Rückseite des Cabochons wird manchmal als umgekehrtes Tiefdruckverfahren bezeichnet, nicht zu verwechseln mit Tiefdruckverfahren, das im Gegensatz zu Essex-Kristall von der gleichen Seite betrachtet werden soll, auf der es geschnitzt ist. Besonders wenn es sich bei dem Bild um etwas handelt, das in Wirklichkeit selbst klein ist, wie zum Beispiel ein Insekt, können sie sehr überzeugend sein, wenn sie von einem erfahrenen Handwerker erstellt werden.

Große antike 18-Karat-Gold-Sardonyx-Muschel-Kamee-Göttin mit Kelch, 2 3/8" hoch x 1 7/8" breit. Fantastischer Anhänger mit Öse, der vor über 100 Jahren Teil eines Verschlusses für eine Halskette war. Die Repousse-Arbeit im Rahmen ist ebenso beeindruckend wie die Schnitzerei auf der Kamee. Einige stabile Brüche sind nur sichtbar, wenn man sie ans Licht hält. 17,8 Gramm, garantiert mindestens 18-Karat-Gold, kann meine 22-Karat-Säure im Moment nicht finden.

No issues, circa last quarter of the 20th century. Hopi artist Bernard Dawahoya was considered by all to be a master silversmith. His bold and clean designs along with the precise matting or texture he worked into the negative areas of this pieces, made his work easily recognizable. His Hopi name was Masaqueva (Wings of the sun). He was born in the second Mesa village of Shungopavi. Not only a master jeweler, but a respected storyteller and a man of great talents. He passed away in 2010. His work is displayed in Museums across the country and in many publications.

History of the Los Charros del Desierto In 1956 a group of ranchers and local Tucson businessmen got together to go on a horseback ride in Southern Arizona and to enjoy male bonding and camaraderie. Little did they know that this first ride started a tradition that is still going strong and will now be celebrating its 68th ride in 2023. The Los Charros ride is comprised of a group of men who enjoy the outdoors, riding horses and getting away from their everyday lives. The ride is full of customs and traditions that are being passed on to our new members. The ride occurs in October of each year and is rotated among three different ranches in Santa Cruz County. The ride wishes to thank the Tomlinson family for allowing us to ride on the Vera Earl Ranch and the Jelks family for riding on their ranch. In 2017, Los Charros Foundation acquired the Casa Blanca Ranch southwest of Sonoita and held our first ride there in October 2019. In the very first ride on October 20, 1956 eighty Charter Los Charros members met at San Xavier del Bac Mission near Southwest Tucson and rode to Nogales, Arizona. Then again on the 25th ride starting on October 10, 1980, one hundred and sixty-two members and guests left Mission San Xavier to retrace their tracks of 25 years ago. They were blessed by Father Celestine Chin who had blessed the original 80 charter members. Today, it is not possible to make the same ride as in 1956 and 1980 because of the population growth and expansion in Southern Arizona.

DANIEL CORIZ KEWA (Santo Domingo Pueblo) Jeweler For Daniel, you get the sense that it is all about doing your best and being there for others. Whether as a father, a son, a grandson, on the council of his tribe, as mayor of Kewa or lieutenant governor of Kewa, or as an artist, Daniel wants to do his best. And for him, his best must honor the best of his family because Daniel is carrying on their traditions, not only of jewelry-making but also of serving the village. Daniel learned the hand-grinding of stones into beads from his mother, Nestoria Coriz. Nestoria was a child herself, only 14, when she started making jewelry. Daniel learned lapidary from his grandfather, Lupe Pena. He grew up with jewelry-making all around him. But he had other responsibilties in his life, too, like taking care of 150 chickens, hogs and sheep. As the oldest he was responsible. His family also pushed him to get an education and for awhile he pursued a degree in electronics. But then he had a son, and strove to meet his new responsibilities by joining the army reserves and studying nursing. Jewelry making paid the way. And kept paying the way. Even as he then sought more responsibilities within the village. In 2007, Daniel became mayor of Kewa and also was on the village council. At 42, he was the youngest man by twenty years to ever be on the council. He served as mayor twice, and then in 2012 he was elected Lieutenant Governor of Kewa. The day he was accepted onto the council, he first went to the house of his father, Lupe Pena. Lupe‘s own father, Santiago Pena, had been governor of Kewa five times. Lupe himself had been War Chief four times. Daniel opened the door to Lupe‘s home and was confronted with a room full of the other council members. Across the room, Daniel found the face of his father and focused there, not letting his eyes stray from the strength he saw there as he made his way through the crowd of elders. His father took Daniel‘s face in his hands and said, “You can do this. It wasn‘t fear that made Daniel hesitate as much as wanting to honor and serve, a need to help. Daniel says, "I am always learning. Trying to improve life for the young ones." It‘s the idea of a lasting legacy that seems to drive Daniel the most. Not only in his service to his village, but also in his jewelry. For Daniel, it‘s the thought that something he made will be around when he‘s gone. It‘s the vision of a person‘s eyes lighting up seeing his work. And what we can tell is that it matters to him to make people happy, to help and to make a difference in the lives of others.

Im Alter von 14 Jahren begann er in Charles‘ Glaswerkstatt in Lynwood zu arbeiten und lernte die Herstellung von Anhängern und Briefbeschwerern. Im Alter von 17 Jahren begann er mit der Endbearbeitung von Charles, die aus dem Schleifen und Polieren von Glas bestand. Später assistierte und lehrte er Charles mehrere Jahre lang. Als Daniel die High School abschloss, begann er Vollzeit im Studio für Charles zu arbeiten und sein eigenes Glas herzustellen. Mit zunehmenden Fähigkeiten wuchs auch sein Engagement für seine Kunst. Im Laufe der Jahre hat sich Daniel zu dem Künstler entwickelt, der er heute ist. Eine Konstante im Laufe seiner Karriere und seiner Arbeit ist die Inspiration, die er von der Natur bezieht. Zu den Designs, die er im Laufe seiner Karriere geschaffen hat, gehören sein Pulled Fern-Design, Anthurienblumen, Tuliptokiss-Blumen, Iris, Astern sowie seine charakteristische Cynthia-Blume. Sicherlich werden diese den Test der Zeit in der Kunstwelt bestehen. Signiert und datiert David Lotton 1995 DAVID LOTTON David Lotton ist ein amerikanischer Glasbläser der zweiten Generation. Er ist der älteste Sohn von Charles Lotton und wurde schon in jungen Jahren in die Welt des Glasblasens eingeführt. 1970 begann Charles mit dem Bau eines Schmelzofens und begann in einem Schuppen hinter ihrem Haus Glasstücke aus geschmolzenen Pop-Flaschen zu blasen. David war in dieser Kindheit dabei und wurde im Alter von zehn Jahren Charles erster Assistent. David hat lebhafte Erinnerungen an seine Kindheit, als er mit seinem Vater in der Werkstatt arbeitete.
