c1940‘s John Gordon Leak Zuni sterling screw back earrings. No issues, weight and measurements in pics.
John Gordon Leak, aka John Leekity, (1920-1970) Was prominently featured in the 1975 Sotheby‘s auction of the C.G. Wallace collection. He used Zuni inlay designs, creating a black background and used colorful stones to generate his popular figures of dragonflies, knifewings, and arrows. He influenced many artists to follow his style of work, and worked closely with his peers such as Leo Poblano, Frank Vacit, Dan Simplicio, and Teddy Weahkee.
