Bobby is the grandson of William Tewa; son of Augustina Trujillo Tewa and Larry Tewa; brother of Tommy Tewa, Freddie Tewa, Janet Yazzie, Darleen Maseyesva, Lisa Gilreath; husband of Ida Oyenque; father of Michelle Tewa, Tvette Tewa, Crystal Tewa, Ivory Tewa, and Aspen Tewa. Bobby learn jewelry making from the San Juan jewelry program and served in the U.S. Marine Corps. One of Bobby's bracelets is in the collection at Smithsonian National Museum of The American Indian, Washington, D.C.
