Antonio Pineda (1919-2009) Mid Century Modern sterling belt buckle 2.5" x 1 3/8", fits up to a 1 1/8" belt. 42.9 grams. <br><br>Pineda is one of two living members of the Taxco School and is recognized as a<br>world-class designer and a Mexican national treasure. <br> Pineda’s jewelry is especially known for its elegant acknowledgment of the<br>human form. It is often said that a Pineda fits the body perfectly, that it<br>feels right when it is worn. So, for example, a thick geometric necklace that<br>might at first glance seem too weighty or rigid to wear comfortably is, in fact,<br>faceted, hinged, or hollowed in such a way that it gracefully encircles the neck<br>or drapes down the décolletage.  In addition, no other taxqueño jeweler used as<br>many costly semiprecious stones or set them with as much ingenuity, skill, and<br>variety as did Pineda. Annie Davis Sterling Silver Scottie Dog belt buckle 3.5" x 2 3/8" fits up to a 1 3/8" belt. 93.4 grams marked and tested sterling silver. Annette Allen Crawford Davis1933 - 2021Annette Davis was a gifted artist. She turned the garage of her home into a studio, and taught art classes there. She created remarkable sculptures out of clay, marble, sterling and bronze. Later in her career she took up welding, painting, and glass slumping. Several years after her husband Bill died, she married George Davis III. He was also a gifted artist who taught figurative sculpture at "The Studio" in northeast Dallas. Together they traveled all over the world, shared a love for sc uba diving and photography, and occasionally parachuted out of airplanes. They were actively involved with the artistic community in Dallas, and for a time Annie was president of the Dallas Sculpture Association.

Andreas Beckmann Sterling Alligator Belt buckle on size 26 Alligator belt. From<br>the retired high end Dallas designer Andreas Beckmann. The buckle is 4.5" x<br>2.75" thick solid heavy sterling and takes up to a 1" belt. The buckle appears<br>new with no signs of wear. The belt appears to have been worn a handfull of<br>times with no significant wear but very close examination shows it's not "Brand<br>New". Belt is 1.25" wide tapering down at both ends, comes with original bag and<br>two new keepers in the box from the shop this ensemble likely came from in Aspen<br>Colorado. It was likely about a $1500 retail item that isn't currently available<br>at any price as the designer retired.

Alvin Thompson Navajo sandcast sterling kokopelli belt buckle. No issues, measurements in pics.Alvin is a highly regarded Navajo silversmith who has perfected the art of ‘sand casting’ to produce exquisite pieces of work. He was born in Winslow Arizona but spent much of his younger life in Seba Dalkai area on the Navajo Reservation north of Winslow. Alvin’s talent is a family tradition, he learned sand casting from his sister. Alvin describes his work method as ‘unassisted hand poured cast silver,’ a process that involves using a sand medium for mold into which the silver is poured. Allison Snowhawk Lee (1958-2022) Navajo sterling ranger style concho belt. Absolutely amazing belt, every concho is solid sterling silver made by famous deceased Navajo silversmith Allison Lee. Measurements in pics. Belt fits a 30" - 33" waist with existing holes. 14 extremely well made conchos, all on a 3/4" belt 432 grams total weight. Being able to combine old and new into something beautiful gave him a metaphysical sense of bridging generations, connecting him to his heritage and at the same time launching him into a viable vocation. During his high school summers he worked at silver shops in Gallup, New Mexico. His first job included sweeping floors, but as he worked he became acquainted with the top silversmith, and learned his techniques. Each summer thereafter he found a job in different shops, and studied under various masters. Now he is the master who owns a shop that employs high school age apprentices. When Allison graduated from high school in 1977 he won the "Most Artistic" award in his class of 160 students. That was just the beginning of his awards. Allison has won numerous honors in prestigious shows in seven different states. He is not only artistic, but very creative, and therein lies his greatest challenge. "A lot of people copy," he says, "and then pretty soon an original idea is being mass produced. I‘ve got to keep ahead of them." Allison makes many different kinds of jewelry: earrings, necklaces, rings, and bracelets; and is best known for his elaborate concho belts. "I really like making concho belts," he professes, "and coming up with different styles." Allison uses either silver or, occasionally, 14 karat gold, and sets it with coral, turquoise, or other semi-precious stones. Hand fabricated, his work may be either stamped or contain bezel set stones. His favorite piece was a squash blossom necklace he made using tools he created. When he is at work in his shop he may put in up to 16 hours a day. "I take breaks sometimes," he confesses, "Sometimes I get burned out. That‘s the time to just walk away from it. That‘s when it‘s time to go outdoors, just to kind of refresh my mind. "I go hunting, I go hiking. What I really love to do is go to old Indian ruins and just look around, see what I can find. In a way I get ideas from the old, and then try to come up with something new. Then I get back into it. Everything just starts coming together once I start making something. It just comes together in my mind." Allison is considered a success by all who are familiar with his work, but he has a different standard, set with his three sons in mind: "I think being successful is keeping everything balanced out between your family and your work. I think that‘s what being successful is, caring enough to spend time with your family, and not letting the work and the career overtake your life. I‘ve seen a lot of people that have done that. I‘m just glad that I‘ve had people there to tell me the difference. Successful to me is just being happy and making sure my family is fed and clothed. That says it all, right there." 44" Sarah Grey Navajo Stamped Sterling Silver Dollars concho belt. Huge and heavy belt that fits up to a 44" waist but can be hooked at different places or conchos could even be removed, or it could be a necklace that doubles up. 31.5" Antique silver Indian/Hindu belly chain belt wheat chain necklace. This is tested and guaranteed solid high content (over 90%) silver. It's amazing, over 100 years old. Has a threaded catch. It measures 31.5" closed. I'm not sure if this had a ceremonial purpose or what the deal was with them, but it's very high quality with no significant issues. Could be worn as a necklace if it does not fit your waist. 8-9mm wide except where the ornate buckle is, 28mm wide at widest point in center. Center has initials AVS.

30's-40's Navajo Silver and turquoise bowtie belt buckle, fits a 1" belt, 46.1 grams. Likely a large butterfly from a larger sized concho belt from the second quarter of the 20th century later made into a stand alone buckle by soldering this back on it.
