c1820 Chinese Famille Rose small coffee cups. Selling the three cups shown 2.75" tall x 2 5/8" wide at rim. The left cup has a crowsfoot on footrim that doesn't penetrate the interior of the cup. Center cup has a tight hairline that extends most of the way down. The orange flower cup has a professional restoration to the rim. I didn't see either of these things until I was photographing/describing for listing and looked them over well previous to that. 25" Qianlong Chinese Export to Dutch market clobbered urn. 40-50 year old label<br>to the underside reads as follows: C. R. Fenton & Co. Ltd. Beachy Road, Old<br>Ford, E3 Gundry, an English antique shipper mentioned by noted Manhattan and Sag<br>Harbor antique dealer J. Garvin Mecking in his Guide to London's Best Shops.<br><br>25" tall with lid x 12" wide, large and wonderful. In the 18th century, there<br>was a high demand for polychrome wares because Imari had become very popular.<br>Blue and white Chinese porcelain was sent to the Netherlands and England to be<br>over-painted. Once there, the porcelain was repainted and then refired and the<br>colors became permanent. The original blue and white designs are still under the<br>enamel.<br>No cracks, chips, or restorations, some expected wear to gilding and enamel.

c1860 Masons Chinese Vase Ironstone Chinoisiere Hand Painted Polychromed Transferware Wash bowl and pitcher set. No cracks, chips, restorations, or crazing, light wear to peach lustre on rim of pitcher and slight wear to hand painted polychrome decoration inside bowl from pitcher resting inside. bowl 14.25"dia., pitcher 13" Charles James Mason registered his Patent Ironstone China trademark in 1813. Mr. Mason was an astute entrepreneur who had already been involved in the early 18th century porcelain import trade from China by the East India Company. When bulk imports basically stopped in the late 18th century, Mr. Mason turned his skills to the manufacture of ceramics in the “Chinese style.” Ironstone, a dense opaque, earthenware, lent itself well to decoration in under-glaze blues as well as the over-glaze enamels. Mason’s wares were an instant success and have remained highly desirable with collectors for almost 200 years. Their decorative patterns, many in a primitive Chinoiserie style, remain unsurpassed for their charm and earthy beauty

Antique Chinese Ink cake set. 12" x 8.25" box. Remarkable set of eight ink cakes<br>inset in original fitted box. Ink cakes decorated with mythical creatures,<br>themes from nature, auspicious symbols and calligraphic inscriptions and often<br>embellished with colors and gilding.
