Antique French Oil on Board Town Square with Pharmacy Pharmacien

Description

Antique French Oil on Board Town Square with Pharmacy Pharmacien. Great early
painting from the 18th-19th century guaranteed. It's in a c1870 frame that I
don't believe is original. It's painted on a wood panel with hand champhered
edges. Slight bend in panel, with some very slight splits, towards the top of
the painting there is some old varnish spots in the cloud area that could easily
be cleaned by someone that knew what they were doing. I don't see them as much
of a distraction myself. Great painting, couldn't find a signature.18.5" x 14.5"
frame 12 5/8" x 9 3/8" panel. This at one point belonged to Colonel William Lamb
(7 September 1835 – 23 March 1909), an American newspaper editor, politician,
businessman. He has an interesting bio in which I had to remove because it was
getting flagged by search engines. It was passed on via inheritance to the family
I'm representing.
