Master Silversmith Darryl Becenti (1957 - 2020) was born in the Native American jewelry capital of Gallup, New Mexico. He began making jewelry in 1988, training with his brothers-in-law, David and Leroy Reeves.
He is known as a silversmith for his use of handmade stamps and dyes, repoussé silver work, and colorful shells, fans, and scallops.
He is also known for his sand painting and traditional artwork.
