Elias Perez Martinez (1924-2005). Elias' artistic work was recognized by many for his unique designs and quality. His career as a silver and goldsmith spanned over sixty years. He first learned his art in Guadalajara, Mexico which he continued in Nogales, Tucson, Estes Park and Scottsdale. Over the past forty-six years, Elias was a respected fixture in Old Town Scottsdale, designing and creating his own style of silver, gold and turquoise jewelry.
The "By Elias" trademark has long been recognized as a stamp of originality. Elias and Elodia were an inseparable team as owners of Jewelry by Elias, which they operated together in Old Town Scottsdale from 1959 to 2003. After the loss of Elodia in December 2003, Elias continued to work in his store making jewelry.
