Calvin Martinez - born 1960 -draws his creative inspiration<br>from his Navajo heritage. ”I look to the old silversmiths and my culture. There<br>would not be a Calvin Martinez silversmith without the Navajo tradition to guide<br>me“.<br><br>He comes from a well- known family of silversmiths; his brother Terry Martinez,<br>is also a well-known silversmith. Calvin’s jewelry is made with traditional old<br>techniques, he makes everything by hand, including hand cutting his bezels. He<br>only uses high quality natural stones in his work.<br><br>Calvin Martinez crates his jewelry in the pure style of the first Navajo<br>silversmiths.
