Phil Loretto was a unique person in history. One of a kind. He was an early student of IAIA. He won so many ribbons at Santa Fe Indian Market, that his teacher, Allan Houser, took him aside and said, "Gee, Phil, aren‘t you going to let the other artists have a chance." Phil moved beyond competing for ribbons to even greater heights as a fine artist
