Tested 14k gold pieve inside shadowbox, natural turquoise and natural opal all set in sterling. High quality well designed piece with a rubber cord. Center bolo is 2" tall x 1 1/8" wide 32.5 grams total weight. All precious metals are tested and guaranteed, any Native American jewelry referred to as Silver or Sterling is guaranteed to be a minimum of 90% (coin) silver and possibly higher content. Retro Robert Ferrell Sterling sodalite post modernist bracelet 7" long bracelet, weight and measurements in pics. I believe these danglies were added by the last owner, it tooks great with them on but could be easily removed as the jump rings aren‘t soldered. I don‘t think the actual danglies are solid sterling. I don‘t believe the artist that made this bracelet would have used unsoldered jump rings as all of his work I have seen including this bracelet without the danglies is absolute perfection. One of the danglies is missing. I believe Robert made jewelry in the last quarter of the 20th century, I believe now his focus is Architectural sculptures which are fantastic. The quality of workmanship here is way above most studio jewelry in my opinion, I have a feeling it took him quite some time to creat each piece and that‘s why he went on to apply his skills in more lucrative forms. Retro Sergio Bustamante Mexican modernist sterling dangle earrings. No issues, weight and measurements in pics. -anderas Sergio Bustamante is a Mexican artist best known for his depictions of animals and inventive humanoid creatures. Working in paper maché, wood, bronze, ceramic and silver, Bustamantes sculptures are often painted or glazed, allowing him to bring even greater heights of imagination and surrealism to his creatures. His specialty is the traditional Hopi silver overlay technique promoted by the Hopi Arts & Crafts Co-op Guild which was formed in 1947, after World War II, when returning Hopi servicemen were trained at a silversmithing school founded under the G.I. bill. The late Paul Saufkie, Sr. was the technical instructor and the late Fred Kabotie, noted Hopi artist and designer, taught design. Although many techniques of silver work were used, the overlay style gradually emerged as the dominate style. This simple, unique, elegant jewelry is now considered essentially the Hopi style of jewelry. The Guild‘s purpose is to produce, purchase, promote, and sell handcrafts and jewelry. The Hopi Arts and Crafts Co-op Guild has its own building on Second Mesa, Arizona, next to the Hopi Cultural Center & Museum. Taaitsohii Scott, was born on September 3, 1965 in Los Angeles, California. He is of the kin Yaaaanii (Towering House People) Clan, and born for the Dzil tlahnii (Mountain Recess People) Clan.
