A superb quality antique English, gold cased solid silver Pitt Club fob (of William Pitt, British Prime Minister 1783-1801, and 1804-1806 - formed shorty after his death to promote his policies of financial and democratic reform); beautifully crafted with a wreath design to the upper section, the Latin motto ‘Non Sibi Sed Patriæ Vixit‘ (Not for himself but for his country) and a superb mono shell on glass cameo, beautifully hand carved to depict William Pitt the Younger, and to the back, Pitt‘s name and the name of the club member - John Toplis Esq.r. A wonderfully interesting and scarce medal - and very collectable! CONDITION : All original and very, very good. Minimal evidence of wear, old hairline through bottom bust part of cameo, negligible. Kee uses 14K gold and sterling silver to create his stunning handcrafted surface design on bolas, rings, pendants, and earrings. He often uses sandcasting techniques to produce each item and many times uses the finest American turquoise or richly colored coral as a focal point on the piece. Kee was featured in Arizona Highways in the article “A New Generation of Indian Artists and has several pieces showcased in the books, Enduring Traditions and Navajo Indian Jewelry by Jerry and Lois Jacka. Having the bloodlines from 3 different Native American tribes, Roie‘s affiliation belongs to the Navajo, Acoma and Apache tribes. He was brought up Navajo and taught the Navajo culture. He speaks, writes and reads the Navajo language. Wearing a few different hats, Roie has not only been a master silversmith for nearly a 1/2 of century, but also wears the hat of a weaver, which he learned this particular art from his mother. Using the wool that‘s taken from his own sheep, Roie then shears the wool, washes and cleans the wool then cards and spins the wool into yarn.

Helen on a recent trip to Nicaragua, getting a fresh perspective. From an early age, traveling the world, I saw how art, craft and creativity brought beauty into everyday life. Beauty, for me, is a blessing that reminds us there is something greater than ourselves. Jewelry, as adornment, has been an expression of art and culture, as far back as 70,000 years. I like how jewelry can range from the legendary to the personal and intimate. The relationship to a particular piece can sometimes span generations because jewelry marks occasions, holds memories and anchors commitments. Sometimes, jewelry is just about pure fun.. I especially like using gems, a truly incredible gift from Mother Natureeach one with its own personality that can add so much to the designing process. When I moved in 1986 to Santa Fe, New Mexico, I saw how indigenous roots are important. Remembering the ancient Celtic stories and legends I grew up with in the UK brought me back to my tribal ancestry. Celtic design comes out of reverence for the earth and generations of tribal tradition. From this place, I have tried to bring contemporary style to motifs that are ancient and meaningful. I view my business as a community that must benefit human communities without harming ecosystems. In context to our sourcing and manufacturing, having high standards for human rights and the environment has been a priority, which is why I am pleased we work with 100% recycled metals and, when ever possible, ethically sourced gemstones. Any design stamped with ‘H‘ was made by Helen.
