Retired James Avery sterling and copper cuff bracelet and earrings set. Bracelet is 6.5" inside including the gap. Weight and measurements in pics. Selling the exact piece shown in great condition with no damage or significant wear. These pics are horrible, this is a really great set but we are short on time and I didn‘t express the importance of this set to the photographer. 6 5/8" Kirk Smith Navajo sterling and turquoise cuff bracelet. Weight and measurements in pics, appears unworn. Native American jewelry artisan Kirk Smith, or Kiyaa Alani Shush Dine (his Dine tribe name, meaning “towering house bear people clan), created a long-lasting legacy in a tragically short life. His work is highly regarded for its quality craftsmanship and his use of stones of only the highest quality and richest coloring. Kirks pieces, primarily his concho belts for which he was best known, have long been coveted and collectible, with their value only increasing as a result of his unexpected, early death. His story is an interesting one. HIS LIFE: Kirk Smith first began working with silver at around age 7 in his grandfathers hidden workshop, that according to Smiths interview with Perry Null Trading, “you would not see it unless you knew it was there. His grandfather also made jewelry and Kirk used to aid him by first learning to run the bellow to heat the charcoal that would allow his grandfather to work with the silver at high temperatures, and then eventually began to work with beads and bracelets and necklaces himself. He later used these primitive skills to craft jewelry for his uncle, who would exchange clothes and shoes for his pieces. In 1972, Kirk struck out on his own, primarily working in silver cast work, until the price of silver went up in 1974 and he went to work doing different things like working in the mine or a refinery in Galveston. He returned to jewelry making in the early 1980s when his mother got sick and he desired to be nearer to her. Thats when his craft took a turn. HIS MENTORS: Of course, his grandfather was his earliest influence, and perhaps the most profound on Kirk as a person, but when it comes to his craftsmanship, the game-changer for him was his brother-in-law. Kirks sister was married to an artisan named Harry Morgan, a well-known name in the world of Native American jewelry. Harry was known for his intricate stamp work and the way he would style his silver to give it an antique look, believing that overly polished silver hid the detailing and the beauty of a piece. It was Harry who really taught Kirk about design and style in terms of his craft. HIS CRAFT: Kirk is probably best known for his concho belts, like the one we found in Audreys closet, that we thought was too beautiful not to share with yall after being tucked away for too long. He was known for his unrelenting insistence on working his silver by hand, resulting in beautiful pieces of heavy silver and high-grade stones. In addition to concho belts, Kirk crafted gorgeous statement cuff bracelets with turquoise and red coral and some of the most striking blue lapis youve ever seen, as well as some rings, pendants, earrings, and even a few squash blossoms. As we mentioned, his work is highly collectible, not only because of its stunning beauty, but because sadly, there wont be any more made; Kirk was tragically killed in 2012. HIS DEATH: On September 17, 2012, Kirk was in an altercation in a parking lot with a young man whose truck had struck Kirks vehicle as the man was attempting to back into a parking spot. When the driver, who was intoxicated, tried to flee the scene, Kirk jumped onto the hood of the mans truck. When he was eventually unable to maintain his grip, Kirk was flung from the moving vehicle and suffered injuries which resulted in his death in an Albuquerque hospital a little while later. The driver did succeed in fleeing the scene, but eventually collided with another truck and a barrier on Interstate 25 and was apprehended after a violent struggle with police; he was found to have had a blood alcohol concentration of 0.16, twice the legal limit. Incredibly, the driver, who was 16 at the time, was only sentenced to 90 days in a treatment center and two years probation. As you might imagine, Kirks surviving family does not feel that justice was done in the wake of his death, but they are carrying on his legacy in a positive way despite the circumstances. 6.75" Tom Dewitt Sterling high grade turquoise cuff bracelet. Weight and measurements in pics. No issues, solid sterling with markings shown. Tom Dewitt (American, 1947-2021) Anglo Santa Fe artist Tom Dewitt is known for creating “old style silver pieces. He is inspired by silverwork from the 1880s-1940s. Toms work regularly is mistaken for being much older than it is. Tom has been creating retro-style jewelry for over four decades and sells his work in galleries around the country. Tom was born in Michigan and raised in Los Angeles, California. He graduated from Venice High in 1965. He began his silver- smith career directly after school while also working as a lighting technician for major venues in L.A. during the wave of the 1960‘s psychedelic rock & roll concerts. He eventually landed a job with Fox Studios working as an electrician for long-running TV series‘ such as M.A.S.H., Dragnet, The Love Boat, and others. He also worked on some big films; The Doors, Lonesome Dove, Natural Born Killers, The Missing, and others. He made frequent trips to Santa Fe starting when he was 21 to buy and sell jewelry, trade and pick up tools. He made New Mexico his home in the 1970s settling in Pojoaque as a silversmith also returning to L.A. for work in the movie and TV business. He was one of the original "Anglo Silversmiths" in New Mexico and a trader. He called his jewelry "old pawn while you wait" because it looked like the old Native American jewelry found in pawn shops. He had a special relationship with the Zuni Pueblo and revered the culture and artistic styles of the Native American silversmiths and artisans. He sold to major galleries in Santa Fe and had a line with Ralph Lauren in the early 2000s. He was extremely talented and people from all over the world collected his work. Tom was a silversmith for 52 years making over 20,000 pieces of southwestern and cowboy style jewelry and art. Marked or unmarked as shown in pics, weight and other measurements in pics. 6 7/8" Mark Jimenez Apache/ Comanche 14k/sterling cuff heavy cuff bracelet. No issues, weight and measurements in pics. Solid 14k gold center piece in sterling. Mark Jimenez knew at fifteen years old that he was destined to be a silversmith and jewelry designer. He remembers distinctly the first time he felt the metal in his hand and the creativity it inspired in him. "Jewelry," he explains, " is an inanimate object until it is worn and takes on the personality and life of the wearer." Each piece he designs is done with the idea that the piece is meant to bring life - the past, present and the future - to the wearer and he uses that imagery when designing his silver and gold pieces. Born in Santa Fe, New Mexico in 1958, Mark descends from a long history of artists. His mother‘s family are renowned weavers from Chimayo in which the family has weavings on permanent display at the Smithsonian Institute in Washington, D.C. and their work dates back to 1732, according to the archives in Santa Fe. Mark‘s father‘s family are Mescalero, Apache and Mexican, are known for thier Native American sculptures in alabaster and wood. The artist has taken the precise detailed work of his mother‘s weavings and blended it with the Native American traditional themes of his father‘s family‘s sculptures to design jewelry that represents the past, present and future, of not only Native Americans, but all of mankind. He explains, "it is mankind - what we all share that is the same that I try to present in my jewelry. I try to create in jewelry the similarities we all share, the past, the present and future." Although most Native American jewelry is silver, Mark combines silver and gold in many of his more contemporary pieces. he is not confined to any one style and allows his art work to reflect, not only the traditions of his Native American roots but allows his creativity to inspire his vision of the future. mark has exhibited in The Heard Museum in Arizona and The Gilcrease Museum in Oklahoma. His jewelry is displayed in galleries in Coronado Island, California, Naples, Florida, Boca Raton, Florida, San Diego, California, Berlin, Massachusetts, Woodbine, New Jeresy, and Soho in New York City. He has won several first place awards in numerous shows and has been featured in Southwest Magazine. Mark is most proud that many celebrities are Mark Jimenez collectors including Oprah Winfrey, Linda Grey, Paul Rodriquez, Brooks and Dunn and several other country and western personalities.

Retro Robert Farrell Sterling sodalite post modernist bracelet 7" long bracelet, weight and measurements in pics. I believe these danglies were added by the last owner, it tooks great with them on but could be easily removed as the jump rings aren‘t soldered. I don‘t think the actual danglies are solid sterling. I don‘t believe the artist that made this bracelet would have used unsoldered jump rings as all of his work I have seen including this bracelet without the danglies is absolute perfection. One of the danglies is missing.I believe Robert made jewelry in the last quarter of the 20th century, I believe now his focus is Architectural sculptures which are fantastic. The quality of workmanship here is way above most studio jewelry in my opinion, I have a feeling it took him quite some time to creat each piece and that‘s why he went on to apply his skills in more lucrative forms.Awards and Honors (*Award)*First Place, Exhibitors Choice Award, Smithsonian Craft Show, 2024.*Best of Metal, Philadelphia Craft Show, 2023.*Award of Excellence, Ann Arbor Street Art 6 3/8" Navajo Ike Wilson (1900-1942) sterling and turquoise cuff bracelet. No issues, weight and measurements in pics. Solid sterling. Diné silversmith Ike Wilson worked for many years for the Kelsey Trading Company at Zuni. He did silverwork for many of the Zuni lapidary artists including Ida Vacit Poblano. He often collaborated with his wife, Katherine Wilson. Navajo Nation artist Ike Wilson (1900-1942) would sign his creations with his bow and arrow hallmark. There has been some confusion in the past about the hallmark of Ike Wilson (1901-1942). It seems that sometimes his work was attributed to Austin Wilson. Both men were born in the same year and in a similar area of the reservation and both men worked at times for trader C. G. Wallace and the Kelsey Trading Company. Ike Wilsons work is signed with a bow and arrow. After his death in 1942, his wife Katherine Wilson (1907-1985) continued to use his hallmark. The bow and arrow hallmark was initially attributed to Ikes contemporary, Austin Wilson, but the corrected attribution was published in Messier, 2014.

7" huge Godber turquoise Navajo sterling cuff bracelet by E Piaso, solid sterling silver, weight and measurements in pics. I believe the previous owner paid $9500 for this bracelet about 25-30 years ago. High grade Godber is expensive. History of Godber-Burnham Turquoise The Godber mine, discovered in 1932, is located east of Austin, Nevada. First claimed under the name “Last Chance, it was later sold to Frank Burnham and then in 1934 to Walter Godber. It is said that during his short time owning the mine, he pulled out over "100,000" worth of turquoise, before selling it to Godber. Godber turquoise has been featured in the movie "The 10 Commandments" in the 50s, and was sold in Tiffany stores. The Godber mine was mined underground for the majority of its early years. Due to the miners chasing veins underground, you never know when you will run into an underground working where the turquoise has already been mined. The turquoise ranges from medium to dark blue, usually with a beautiful spider webbing. It has also been know for a very dark or black mottling forming, blotches and veins running through the stone. This mottling forms blotches and veins running through the stone that creates a impressive spiderweb appearance. Oscar Branson in his book, “Turquoise has called Godber ‘so hard and ‘some of the finest turquoise in Nevada‘. Godber has always been considered a very high quality turquoise and very collectible.

Niels Erik From Sterling Denmark MCM Atomoic bracelet/pin set. 7" long bracelet, weight and measurements in pics. No issues. Danish jeweller and silversmith Niels Erik From ( N.E. From) was born in 1908 and opened his first workshop in 1931 when he was still only twenty-three . Over the next forty years Niels Erik went on to become one one of the greats of Danish design, and created many works including floral-inspired designs often set with semi-precious gemstones. These pieces took inspiration from the Skønvirke style. This was a Scandinavian development that formed part of Denmarks Art Nouveau and Arts and Crafts movement . This movement ususally took inspiration from nature with designs incorporating flowers and floral motifs as well as featuring natural creatures such as fish. N.E. FROM JEWELLRY STYLES - EARLY FLORAL DESIGNS AND LATER ABSTRACT MODERNIST PIECES N.E. Froms output generally displays one of two distinct styles. In the early years of production he produced wiry, thin, foliage and floral pieces .However, beginning in the 1950‘s the work produced by From (which were often the designs of other designers) had a very different look. No longer does the jewellery feature romantic, detailed designs from nature. The later pieces have modernist, clean lines with geometric and abstract shapes. Occasionally the modern designs show nature as inspiration with abstract blossom and leaf and blossom shapes. In generally though, they follow the trend of the 1950s of , spare, minimalist design.production .

6.25" Vintage Zuni sterling carved turquoise cuff bracelet. Great unmarked solid sterling from the third quarter of the 20th century with no issues. All precious metals are tested and guaranteed. A Native American jewelry piece referred to as "silver" or "ingot" is guaranteed to be at least 90% silver. I rarely use the word "sterling" when referring to older Native American silver or really any older silver jewelry as silver contents vary and "sterling" is 92.5% silver. No older jewelry is going to be exactly 92.5% silver, some a little over, some a little under. It wasn‘t an exact thing with handmade jewelry. I‘ve seen thousands of pieces xrf‘d to prove this. Bracelets are photographed on a 6" women‘s wrist.
