Steve comes from a long line of distinguished men and<br>women, whom he names as his influences.<br><br>His great-great grandfather, Hosteen Bele-sle-zo, was among the thousands of<br>Navajo who were forcefully relocated during the Long Walk of 1868. His<br>grandmother, Anna Yellowhorse, was a fine Navajo weaver who married the creative<br>visionary, Arthur Beasley. Ridges around the rim indicate it was made from a squished coin. <br><br>Tommy Singer (1940 - May 31, 2014) was a World Famous Navajo Silversmith and his distinct style of Indian Jewelry is recognized the world over. Tommy was a silversmith for over 50 years. He learned the art of silversmithing from his father when he was just 7 years old. His Father Tsinnigine Hathali was a Navajo Medicine man. His early works were done in the Silver overlay technique but soon began to feature Turquoise stones. While working with scrap turquoise chips, Tommy pioneered the technique of Chip inlay used by thousands of artists to this day. The Konstantino style emerged from the roots of these traditions, paving the way for its own unique style, one re-defining the blueprint of the classical Greek identity.1958: Birth of a legend Konstantino was born in Filiadona, a small village outside Athens where the Ancient city of Melitea once stood. There he watched his father closely as he worked on the farm, building machines and tools of his own. Here Konstantino developed a great appre- ciation for the art of hand craftsmanship.1978: A musical influence Following his love for music, the young Konstantino became a disc jockey in the city of Athens, playing everything from Carlos Santana to Lou Reed.
