MCM Sterling Pietra Dura Multistone Mosaic Inlay southwestern mountains pendant with Lapis, Coral, and other stones. A somewhat confusing piece made by an artist that seemed to be able to think for oneself and combine many styles but didn't care to sign such a work of art. A fantastic Mid century style to the silver mounting which I have no way of know is period or not, really good lapidiary work on a level that has never really been common in the US, but the scene sure reminds me of an Arizona mountain landscape. All hand done approaching micromosaic level. Tests sterling, completely unmarked. 29 grams 3.5" tall x 2.5" wide.This piece is really clean, there are some marks on the wings in the pics, they were residues of silver polish which I have removed.

Egyptian Silver and turquoise pendant with necklace. This piece is great and has significant age on it but I don't have time to figure out the hallmarks, I know the bottom one means it's egyptian, I believe 80% silver purity, there's another one on the top piece that's different. Great piece, 50-100 years old. The necklace was on it when I got it, the necklace tests sterling with a replacement clasp that isn't sterling.34.5 grams Pendant is 3" long x 2.25" wide, necklace is 24" long. This is a very high quality piece, not the typical tourist piece you find.

c1960 Pal Kepenyes Bronze Lion Necklace. The necklace is 22" long, pendant is 3.5" wide and signed. No issues or damage. Between 1945 and 1949 Pal spent two years at the Budapest School of Applied Arts as a decorative sculptor, and then for another two years at the College of Fine Arts at Bénin Ferenczi . He was then fired as a class stranger. In 1950, he was sentenced to ten years in prison for concealing weapons on fabricated charges. He began to serve his sentence in Szeged , after two and a half years of forced labor he was sent to Tatabánya , and then to the mine in Várpalota , from where he was taken to Márianosztra . After his release, he took part in the battles on Kálvin Square and Rákóczi Road in Budapest in 1956.. On November 21, 1956, he and his brother and a girl crossed the Austrian border in a snowfall. An Austrian doctor first took him to a camp, from where he hitchhiked to Vienna , spending ten days in a hotel for free. From there, together with three hundred of his companions, he was taken to Paris by a special train . From 1956 to 1958 he studied at the Academie des Beaux-Arts in Paris. He made a resurrection statue in Belgium , from the sale of which he covered his boat ticket from Bilbao to Mexico City . He has also exhibited in London , the Folksmuseum in Berlin and the World's Fair in New York . First metal, then silver and bronze necklaces, bracelets, rings in Los Angeles, Also sold in New Mexico and Arizona . In the early 1960s, he moved to Mexico City , Mexico , and from there to Acapulco . He makes his sculptures from precious metals in an expressionist and surrealist style. There is also a statue in one of the squares in Monterey, Mexico . He was awarded the Kossuth Prize on March 15, 2020 . Jacqueline Kennedy , Elizabeth Taylor , Arnold Schwarzenegger , Bill Gates , Richard Nixon and Madonna have also bought jewelry .

He worked as a silversmith for over 35 years, since the mid 1970’s, until his passing in 2014.His mother started him out with buffing the earrings she made. From there she gave him other duties, such as soldering things for her. With this beginning, Ernest started making his own jewelry, and he did not ever look back. He continued those traditions into his adult years. Ernest worked out of his own home, and worked for various traders. Vintage Navajo Silver turquoise choker necklace. This measures between 14.25" and 15.5" long with the extension cable. Center pendant with dangle is 2 5/8" tall x 7/8" wide, total weight 62.4 grams. I have no idea if it was originally for a child or a choker. I know it's really fantastic and old with great natural stones. When XRF tested the metal is 85.9% silver, 8.5% copper, 3.6% zinc, and .5% Iron, the other 1.5% is a mixture of gold and other minerals. I don't feel this was a piece made for commercial sale, this was an old piece that somebody likely made for someone important to them.
