Alice Quam has worked with her husband Duane Quam since 1945 on some of the most beautiful cluster jewelry of the Zuni Pueblo. They worked together for nearly 60 years. She became a master of setting and cutting the stones, while Duane did all of the silverwork. Alice and Duane worked primarily with high quality turquoise and coral. Alice is known for her intricate needlepoint work because of the symmetry of the stones in her jewelry.
