Arthur McCall Texas Hill country Landscape Dog and Quail Oil on Board c1980's<br>22.5" x 18.25" framed 18" x 14" panel. Incredible work of art with no issues to<br>painting or frame.Arthur McCall, a native of South Texas is a long-time resident<br>of Pleasanton, Texas. He has had an interest in drawing and painting as far back<br>as he can remember, a childhood hobby that has grown into a professional career.<br>He would call himself a self-taught artist even though commercial art studies<br>were an early part of his beginning in art. This schooling, however brief, was<br>interrupted by military service and eventually being assigned to the U.S. Army<br>First Infantry Division and a tour to Vietnam back in the 1960s, ended the art<br>schooling. Some years later McCall was selected to attend the Texas Game Warden<br>Academy at Texas University and was commissioned as a Texas Game Warden in 1969.<br>He was assigned to Atascosa County in 1971 and served the area as Game Warden<br>until 2012 when he retired after 43 years of service.
