In 1880 the Margarete Steiff Company was established, the Elephant (as a pincushion ) was created to that time and later it became the first stuffed animal and toy to bear the trademark name "Steiff".At the 100 Year anniversary of the company a museum was opened showing all the wonderful old toys Steiff once created. The feed back was soenormous that the idea was born to bring back some of these old high lights year after year.OFFER:This offer is the Roly-Poly Circus Teddy Bear Stehaufbaer Replica , originally made in 1894, it was never displayed out of the box, the box has see through plastic that -of course-shows traces of aging. The plastic is shell is removable but broken and taped in a few places, box and figure are near mint. Box measures 6.5" wide x 10" tall. tw240
